My husband owns a record label, and I spend my time having adventures with an awesome three-year-old girl and a sweet one-year-old boy.

Echo Park, Los Angeles

Everything but the beach

For a centrally-located family-friendly spot in Los Angeles, you can’t beat Echo Park. Close to Chinatown and a short drive from downtown LA, Silver Lake and Los Feliz, this northeast neighborhood has a dash of Williamsburg to it along with streets lined with Victorian mansions. Go hiking in Elysian Park, play in Echo Park Lake’s playground or ride pedal boats around the lake, and visit Dodger Stadium for tours of the dugout, trophy room and press box.

Jennifer and her family were wonderful hosts. They generously shared their backyard and my son had a great time playing and picking lemons and grapefruits from their trees. The house is bigger than it appears in pictures, it was more than enough space for our family of four. Parking was easy and the neighbourhood was lovely and quiet.

We had a great stay with my 4yo and 2yo while in the area visiting family. It was clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated. My kids loved the shared play area. We also had a day at the beach and we’re offered a canopy, umbrella, chairs, a tarp, and beach toys to take with us. We would stay here again.

We had a pleasant stay at Jennifer's appartment. The appartment is fully equipped and in a nice and quiet Location in Los Angeles. Parking in the neighbourhood is easy and the host's food recommendations are very good. Echo Park is really close and you can rent swanlike pedal boats or have a run round the lake. Not too far there is a Wholefoods Supermarket and you can reach all L.A. destinations easily by car.

Everything was as wonderful as you could hope. The house itself was well stocked, cute, clean, had a pack-and-play and games for the kids along with an accessible play area. The area was so accessible with amazing coffee and restaurant options nearby. Jennifer was extremely helpful in every way and if we end up back in LA soon, we will definitely be staying here.

Amazing house for a family friendly LA visit. Communicating with Jennifer about the booking and the house was a breeze. We loved the location right in Echo Park, and the outdoor space was so nice. Having access to a washer and dryer was great too. Will definitely look to see if this house is available next time we're in LA!

An amazing stay in Echo Park. Absolutely perfect for our three kids (ages 3, 5, and 7) - they loved picking the lemons from the trees. The kitchen is phenomenal, and Jennifer & her family were lovely. Thank you again!

Very nice, as described, the backyard has been configured a little differently than the pictures but not a problem in any way. The nearby coffee shop had just closed, which was a bummer, but there was another one not too far away (maybe a 15 minute walk). We were able to fit a pack and play in the little office room and put our older child in the second bedroom. Everything very clean, ample towels, toiletries, etc. I didn't get to see Jennifer as we were visiting family and mostly away from the property, but she was very easy to communicate with and handled all logistics no problem. I'd definitely recommend and definitely stay there again! Neighborhood is a great location for exploring downtown/silverlake/echo park and easy street parking.
