This elegant family home, 15 minutes’ drive from downtown Edmond, has views of a neighborhood pond and plenty of places to play a short walk away. Family focused, it is set up with thoughtful details and wood-look tiles that work well for kids. The backyard looks out onto a small neighborhood pond where local families can be seen fishing and playing together, and includes a lawn and a small play set for kids, plus a covered porch where parents can relax.

Why Kids Love it

This home has plenty of toys and books for toddlers and younger children. While older children can certainly be accommodated in the third bedroom with a blow up mattress upon request, the permanent furniture in the children's room is best suited for kids age 3 and younger. The house is walking distance from 4 playgrounds and 2 splash pads in the neighborhood. The owners have a jogging stroller and umbrella stroller available for guest use.

The third bedroom can be used as a playroom, office, or as a bedroom with air beds depending on your needs. The living area is open concept with an eat-in kitchen. Style Notes

Elegant living. With beautiful modern art prints, chirpy slogan throw pillows and light colors through the main living area, this family home has a real sense of style and elegance to it. Bright pops of color enliven the neutral tones and playful details make it great for kids. A bright pop of blue upholstery can be found in a lazy boy rocking chair situated by the crib, while the master suite has dark walls and black out curtains, perfect for relaxing. We love the easygoing style, the soothing nursery and the rockstar music room.

We love to go to the beach. Sunny and warm destinations are our favorites. But we have a long bucket list and look forward to doing a ton of new activities with our little one as she gets older. For now we have a toddler with a severe food allergy to dairy, so we will need places that we can cook all of her food from scratch.

Edmond, Oklahoma

Right on Route 66

About 15 miles north of Oklahoma City, Edmond is known as one of the area’s top attractions, a city bursting with family-focused things to do. Saddle up and hit the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, cool off in Barnett Field Splash Pad, ride the rollercoasters at Frontier City theme park and watch the rodeo at Lazy E Arena. We’ll admit it, there’s a bit of a theme here; if it doesn’t get your kids excited, there are plenty of arts centers, parks and downtown shopping to partake in too.
