They’ll love a trip to Barcelona Zoo and Ciutadella Park, or a ride on a cable car overlooking the city’s botanical gardens (both 20 minutes away) as well as watching the city’s magical Montjuic fountains (within walking distance). The beach is also fantastic for families, with miles of sandy shores, an aquarium, skate park, and sports courts. Las Arenas shopping mall is just 5 minutes’ talk, with lots of family-friendly shops and eateries.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 1 night. The apartment has an automated system for check in: guests are provided with codes to retrieve an electric key, so no matter at what time you arrive you’ll be able to check in. This building of serviced apartments has been totally refurbished and has a shared elevator. Car hire is not necessary due to the central location of the apartment, and the city’s public transport is fast and reliable. However there is parking available 2 minutes away from the property. Bike and moped hire is available 5 minutes away. The residence comes with a 24-hour reception service, free luggage storage, air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV, and WiFi.

About the Location

The apartment is located in the heart of the Eixample district in Barcelona, Spain. It’s less than 10 minutes’ walk to Sants train station for direct connections to Barcelona airport (around 15 minutes away) and 10 minutes from the city center. The nearest subway station is Carrer d’Entenca (under 5 minutes on foot) or there are more subway stations within a 10-minute walk. The location is ideal for exploring the city: it’s a calm but central area, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and tapas bars. Las Arenas shopping mall is just 5 minutes’ walk. The beach is less than half an hour away, and you’ll find plenty of cultural tourist sights in under 15 minutes, including the Gothic Quarter, museums, city parks, and botanical gardens.

Accommodation Details

This apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, all set on 1 floor. The master bedroom has a double bed, which can be split and used as 2 singles, and the second bedroom can be made up as a double or split into 2 single beds. There is also a double sofabed in the living room. The living and dining area has a dining table seating 4, as well as a balcony, and leads to a fully-equipped kitchen. The sleek and modern bathroom has a walk-in shower. The building has a shared entrance with reception area and elevator up to the 1st floor.

Style Notes

City sleek. The decor is typically Spanish, with a modernist Catalan style - stone walls and vaults add an industrial, urban feel. The hosts have preserved unique features while refurbishing all the interiors to create a bright and sophisticated home. We love the elaborate mirrored bed frame in the master bedroom, the black framed windows in the living room, and the quirky kitchen artwork.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Modernist buildings and beautiful boutiques

The narrow medieval streets of the old city become refreshed and modern at Eixample. Expect to see undulating buildings, architectural masterpieces and plenty of examples of Gaudi’s work in the area, including the Sagrada Familia. It’s a very central area with beautiful clothes shops, hip bars and the best of the city’s nightlife.

The air conditioning was broke, and we had only 2 ventilators, and those were pretty bad... once we were a party of 6, 2 slept in the living room, without any fan whatsoever... Had frequent issues regarding the door opening through that link (would be much easier with an pin code), and Internet at the apartment was unstable. Did not understand why this place lies under Kid&Coe, once it has no kids facilities at all, not even TV channels... Location is good.
