This centrally-located home really is in the heart of the city, just a couple of blocks away from Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia and La Rambla. It’s easy and hassle free to get around on foot or by subway, and there are lots of family-friendly attractions nearby. The unique interior terrace boasts views of the historic Gran Via's Coliseum Theatre and a ‘sky’ ceiling, giving families an additional living space for relaxing or dining. Choose from museums, Gaudi architecture, world-class shopping or the beach - this is a great city for a cultural family vacation.
Why Kids Love it
Kids will be amazed at the indoor/outdoor ‘garden’, where they can ride on the swing or play on the artificial grass. There’s also plenty of flexible bedroom options for younger kids, sharing siblings or teens who need their own space. It’s within walking distance of some of the city’s best family attractions, including the Barcelona Zoo and the city Aquarium on the harbor, as well as the public square Placa de Catalunya, which has plenty of open space for kids to run around and is just a few steps away. Take the kids to the beach (20 minutes by subway) or treat soccer fans to a trip to the museum of FC Barcelona (half an hour) to see the club’s historic trophies.

About the Location
The apartment is located in an unbeatable location, just steps from Plaça Catalunya and the elegant Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona. It’s easy to walk to some of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, including Las Ramblas historic streets, the Sagrada Familia cathedral, the port and the beach. This is a great area for art and culture fans: visit La Pedrera to see the astounding architecture of Gaudi (5 minutes’ walk) or the Picasso Museum (10 minutes’ walk). The nearest subway stations are Passeig de Gracia (2 minutes’ walk), Universitat (4 minutes’ walk) and Urquinaona (8 minutes’ walk). The international airport is around 40 minutes by train or 25 minutes by car.

The apartment has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, totaling 275 sqm across 1 floor. The primary bedroom features a kingsize bed, an ensuite bathroom and a private sitting room/office. There are 3 double guest rooms (2 of which have ensuite bathrooms), and 2 rooms for children: 1 with just a single bed and the other with 3 single beds (set up as either as 2 singles or 1 single + 2 bunks). All the bathrooms have walk-in showers. There’s an open plan living/dining area with a screened-off kitchen and a quirky ‘outdoor’ terrace - a covered garden with a sky ceiling and outdoor furniture.
Style Notes
Quirky and contemporary. Recently renovated in 2018, the apartment is filled with plenty of natural light, thanks to the central courtyard and the large windows at either side of the building. The open plan living space looks sleek and contemporary, yet ideal for families needing a natural flow of space, and there’s a few industrial-inspired touches to reference the urban environment. We love the unique yet practical kitchen screen, the rustic wood textures and the clever built-in storage in the adult bedrooms.

Expect to see undulating buildings, architectural masterpieces and plenty of examples of Gaudi’s work in the area, including the Sagrada Familia.
