This Provencal villa at the foot of the Alpilles mountains and 1km from the picturesque village of Eyragues has a private pool, a gorgeous garden and plenty of whimsical style. It sleeps up to 9 + 1. The house is comfortable and spacious with a chef’s kitchen and family-sized dining area for delightful dinners or relaxed breakfasts. The primary bedroom bathroom has a tub for bath time or a luxurious soak. The area has vineyards, cultural events and the charming villages of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Les Baux-de-Provence within reach.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will enjoy the very large, shady terrace where they can run or play. The lawn area is a great place to play ball. The bedrooms have bright colors and 1 has an additional single bed for a child that likes to be close to parents, or for 3 kids to bunk up together. For babies and toddlers, a travel crib with sheets, changing table and highchair are available on request. The nearest beach is 50 minutes’ drive and is ideal for children with fine, golden sand, which slopes very gently towards the sea.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: July and August 7 nights. The rest of the year 2 nights. Safety notes: the pool is raised and ungated – there is a pool alarm. The house is single storey with no stairs, but there are 2 steps from the terrace to the house. The coffee table has sharp corners. Self-check-in via a lock box. The pool is open 24/7, all year round. There is central air conditioning and heating. Parking is for 3 cars, including 2 sheltered by a carport. Car hire is recommended.

About the Location

This vacation villa is located in the quiet Provence countryside, in the village of Eyragues and between Avignon and Saint Rémy de Provence. Eyragues embodies the quintessential charm of a Provençal village with its timeless architecture, winding lanes and a lively central square lined with cafés, restaurants, and shops. The village has a small playground. Families can enjoy hikes in the Alpilles, that are accessible for children, or bike rides around the landscapes of vineyards and olive groves. Get here via Avignon TGV station (15 mins), via the highway (10 mins) or Marseille airport (around 50 mins by car).

Accommodation Details

This residence has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all on 1 floor. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen (Smeg oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, rice cooker and kettle etc) with an eat-in table seating 5. The living room has sofas, a woodburning stove and a coffee table. It’s open to a dining area with a table seating 8. A laundry room has a washer and dryer. Two bedrooms have queensize beds, 1 has a double / full and the largest is the 4th bedroom with 1 double/ full and 1 twin / single. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 with a tub and 1 with a shower. Outside is a raised pool with sun loungers, an outdoor seating area, a hammock, BBQ, pizza oven and sun umbrellas.

Style Notes

Eclectic and vibrant. The house is beautifully decorated in a colorful, whimsical style. Pops of sunshine yellow, crimson and turquoise give it a happy, vacation-feel. Each room reveals its own personality, with mid-century modern furniture and décor adding fun. Artistic touches like traditional paintings, wall hangings, and pretty vases add a touch of bohemian charm. We love the piece de resistance of the covered outdoor terrace that runs along the whole side of the house. It has a dining table for al fresco feasts and lounge furniture to curl up on with a book or relax with evening drinks as the sun goes down.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

With 3 children, going on vacation has sometimes been a headache or even a source of stress: will there be enough to heat the bottle? how am I going to be able to give her a bath? is the staircase secure?
