This newly renovated 2-story family apartment in central Oslo sleeps up to 6 adults plus 2 babies/toddlers in cribs and is a great base from which to explore the city. We love the high ceilings, the artistic flair, wooden floors and open-plan living ideal for young families. The residence also has a balcony, shared garden and terrific children's play space on the upper floor. Across the road is a lovely park, with lawns for picnics and pool for splashing along with a playground, and the property is close to public transport links. Oslo is a great city for families, with an International Museum of Children’s Art, city boat rides and a winter of ice-skating and tobogganing. As a bonus, this apartment has a host of baby and toddler equipment, making travelling with little ones slick and easy, and breakfast is provided. The welcoming hosts are able to offer bikes and advice on what to see and do with kids in the area. For couples with one baby only, the first floor of the apartment can be made available for a lower rate, complete with a crib, baby equipment and master bedroom, living space and kitchen.

Things to know

  • Oslo Gardemoen airport is 45 km away and is easily accessible by train, taxi and bus, with most journeys taking under 50 mins
  • The property is 4km, or roughly 10 mins by cab, from Oslo Central Station. The National Teater train station is 1.5km away
  • Oslo is compact and convenient - the property is within 25 minutes walk of most major sites; public transport is also easy, as is cycling
  • Within the immediate vicinity are many restaurants, cafés, bars and grocery stores. The Royal Palace is also a short walk away
  • Second floor apartment with no elevator
  • Free parking in front of the building
  • Note that the gated stairs are steep and there is a door to the balcony. The steps down to the garden could be tricky for little tots
  • Breakfast is included; the friendly hosts will also greet you when you arrive and can offer tips on local activities
  • Over the road is Stens Park, with its splashing pool, play park and lawns for picnics
  • The hosts can lend bikes to get around
  • WiFi throughout

  • It is possible to rent just 1 floor of the apartment, which is fully self catering with a private entrance and sleeps 2 adults plus a baby
Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Fagerborg, Oslo

Midsummer hill

Just to the north of the city center, this district of Oslo is near St Hanshaugen Park. One of the city’s largest, it used to be the spot where the town gathered to celebrate midsummer, and has great city views and an open air café in the summer. It’s easy to walk or take the bus or tram for five minutes or so to reach the city’s main attractions from here.

Keyna and her family went above and beyond as hosts - even taking us back to the train station at 1am to retrieve a lost bag. Keyna made dinner reservations for us, suggested local museums and spots of interest, and helped organize transportation. A lovely family and beautiful home!
