This bright, spacious and colorful residence is situated facing Fort Greene park which has tennis courts and 2 playgrounds for children, while still being just minutes by train to Manhattan. There are lots of toys in the kids room and the home is in a family-friendly neighborhood in Brooklyn with lots to do and see for the kids. Easy access to the park across the street as well as the private garden make it an ideal location for children.
Why Kids Love it
There are plenty of toys and books for kids under the age of 10 with lots of space for everyone to spread out. Two floors allow you to put the kids to bed downstairs while enjoying upstairs without worry of waking them. Bike also available with extended Xtracycle which can easily fit 2 children for exploring Brooklyn. The spacious kids room has 2 twin beds. Note limited provision for very small children - high chair but no crib provided.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 30 nights. The residence is close to all major train lines making it really easy to get around the city, no car required. It is completely child safe. Note that the owners no longer have a cat (as mentioned in reviews below). Street parking is always available. Two air mattresses can be added on demand. There is great children's programming at museums nearby including the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Prospect Park Zoo and roller/ice skating. JFK airport is around 45 minutes away by car; LaGuardia is approximately 30 minutes away.

This home is ideally located in Fort Greene, a beautiful family-friendly neighborhood. The home is on a quiet 1-way street, which faces Fort Greene Park. The park has 2 playgrounds, a year-round weekly farmers’ market, sprinklers, dog park, tennis courts and lots of green space for a picnic. It’s an easy walk to many Brooklyn attractions and subways into Manhattan. It is 1 stop from Manhattan and close to Dumbo and Brooklyn Bridge Park and Jane’s Carousel. It is also minutes from Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Barclay's Center with plenty of entertainment options any night of the week.
Accommodation Details
This timeless brownstone with 2 bedrooms has a huge parlor floor with high ceilings, a recently remodeled modern kitchen and is approximately 2,200 square feet in total. The master bedroom has access to a private garden and has a queen bed; the kids room has 2 single beds. Two further foldable mattresses are available on request. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub.
