Hi there. I'm Flaminia. I'm a 30-something (no need to be specific, is there?!) gal who was born in Fort Worth, Texas but raised across the ocean in Rome, Italy. My husband and our two little boys bounce back and forth from Texas to Italy, and we rent our Fort Worth home out when we aren't there. By day, I'm travel agent who specializes in creating one-of-a-kind trips to Italy, and by night I'm cook who loves to drink a decent glass of wine (or two). I love traveling the world and creating new experiences. Ever since I was a teenager, I worked to support my traveling habit; and even now with kids I still travel quite a bit. It's how I discovered Kid& Cole: it's so much easier to stay in a home than a small hotel room when you travel with 2 little kids. Recent trips we have taken include Holland, Germany, France, East Africa, Australia, Fiji, Tuscany, Venice, Bologna, and the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Through these travels, I've been fortunate to learn what a good home rental experience (and host) looks like: a great home with a friendly host, in an awesome neighborhood, and the ability to do all the things you love! I try to ensure that each and every guest I host walks away with all of that and hopefully more! My life motto is from Dr. Seuss, and it's a bit dorky: You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose! I look forward to opening my home to people from all over the globe! Welcome to Texas!

Fort Worth, Texas

Dinosaurs, cowgirls and the rodeo

Family fun is easy to come by in Fort Worth. From the Museum of Science and History to the National Cowgirl Museum, interactive culture will get the kids talking and experiencing the city like no other. A drive out to Dinosaur Valley State Park can have you walking in the footsteps of Sauropods discovered by a 9-year-old boy over a hundred years ago. Fort Worth Zoo has a rock-climbing tower as well as exotic animals, and the weekend rodeos and cattle drives in the Stockyards District are the ideal ingredients for a Texas stay to remember.

Flaminia was very helpful and easy to work with as we planned our trip. Her property manager had a pack n play and high chair set up for us. The house itself is older, but it was clean, and the appliances and furniture are all new and very comfortable. It included plenty of toiletry amenities (even toothbrushes in case someone forgot one) and coffee for the parents and a few snacks for the kids. The neighborhood is nice, and there was a back yard where my kids enjoyed running around. The location is convenient for getting around Fort Worth. The only thing we would’ve changed are adding a some games and a few creative/open ended type toys that don’t require batteries/break easily/lose pieces.
