Why Kids Love it
Children of all ages are welcome and will love exploring this unique home. Babies and toddlers are well catered for - hosts can provide a travel cot, baby seat and toys to play with. The private garden has a spacious lawn to play on (plus hammock and cozy Bali bed) and the shared children’s pool is just a stroll away. Indoors, there are Wii games and a DVD player, plus plenty of space to relax and nap. This is a great resort for families, with lots of entertainment for kids of all ages. As well as the various swimming pools on site, the resort has a forest park, bikes to hire, and an adventure center with monkey jungle and zip-wires. Ask the hosts about the on-site kids club (for ages 3-16, fees apply) and babysitting services at the hotel for little ones, or tennis and golf coaching for older kids and teens.

There is a golf buggy at the villa for guests to use throughout their stay for an extra fee of 75€ / week. The house is accessed from the first floor, where the bedrooms are located, and there is one flight of stairs to the open living area. There is space to park 2 cars - car hire is recommended. The villa features an electronic lighting system in the living room, motorized curtains, outdoor barbecue, kids bike trailer with 1 men’s mountain bike and WiFi throughout (even in the backyard). Guests have discounted access to 2 top-ranked, 5-star championship golf courses (a typical round is just €75) at the Sergio Garcia Golf Academy - golf coaching, putting green and practice areas are also available. Guests also have access to Hotel Camiral and resort amenities, which include babysitting, kids’ club, cleaning services, gym, spa, tennis courts, basketball courts, five-a-side football pitch, cycle paths and bike hire, swimming pool, golf buggy hire, 3 on-site restaurants, and access to Santa Marta luxury beach club. Please note: the resident club in the restaurant and the Golf Members lounge are only open to owners or members of the golf club.
About the Location
This villa is located in Girona, Spain. It’s 5 minutes’ drive to Girona airport or less than 1 hour away from Barcelona airport. The dramatic Costa Brava beaches are only 20 minutes away. There are excellent TGV train links from Barcelona, plus easy access to the Pyrenees and only an hour’s drive to France. There is a fantastic bar and restaurant at the Camiral Hotel, and a choice of Michelin star restaurants in the area. It's about 2 minutes walk to La Vida hotel and roughly 7-10 minutes to walk to the La Camiral hotel, tennis courts and golf clubhouse café/restaurant. Visit the University of Girona (10 minutes away) which offers a fascinating mosaic of historical treasures and medieval charm, picturesque streets, historic bridges and churches, plus many museums and shops. Girona is also a location used for Game of Thrones - fans can explore the area with a dedicated tour of the on-screen sights. Visit Barcelona for a dose of art and culture: it has plenty of museums, galleries and Gaudi architecture to explore.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. There are 5 bedrooms: a master bedroom with 1 kingsize bed, 2 rooms each with a queensize bed, and the kids bedroom has 2 single beds. A further bedroom/2nd lounge area is downstairs and has 1 double sofabed. The master bedroom and the back double bedroom have direct access to the terrace, and it is also accessed from the garden and outdoor stairs. The master ensuite bathroom has a bathtub and walk-in shower, the second bathroom has a walk-in shower, and the third bathroom, attached to the 5th bedroom downstairs, has has a shower, sink and toilet in a wet room style. There is access to the garden from the upstairs terrace. Downstairs, the open plan living/dining/kitchen area features a fully-equipped kitchen with top-of-the-range appliances, dining area seating 6 and cozy seating area. This area opens to a terrace overlooking a private backyard with grass lawn, which is next to a swimming pool (shared with the other hotel villas). There is also a children’s pool. The house is set among the landscaped fairways of the Stadium Golf Course.

There is a neutral white color scheme throughout, dotted with vibrant artwork to add a dash of color in each room. We love the stylish outdoor sofas and Bali bed, the smart minimalist kitchen, and the stunning entrance way with stone-clad flooring and extra-wide door.

On the Onyar River
This historic city an hour north of Barcelona is known for its restaurants, but don’t panic if your kids aren’t into fine dining, there are fantastic bakeries and riverside cafés here too. Leave the car and stroller at home and pack comfortable shoes for a day wandering the city's cobblestoned streets, its museum and its cathedral. Then explore the coast to the north: a 40-minute drive will take you to fishing villages, Greek ruins and a castle once owned by Salvador Dali.
