Why Kids Love it
The terrace is enclosed behind the building and away from traffic. It’s shared with the other apartments so it’s a great place for kids to make friends with others from all over the world. Safety notes: there is an open tread staircase with no handrails leading down to the communal outdoor area that is not safe for young children without an adult accompanying them. The pool is unfenced so non-swimmers will need supervision around it. The apartments have balconies where young children should take care. A crib, high chair and other baby equipment can be provided free of charge. Kids will like the local chocolate milkshake (Cola Cao) in the breakfast basket, delivered each morning on request.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. Rates range between €200 - €400. Rates do not include city tax which will be charged by the host team on arrival. The apartment facilities include: Wi-Fi, satellite TV, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, kettle, cooking utensils, pots, pans, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and room safe. Apartments do not have bathtubs, showers only, but baby tubs are available on request. The pool is unfenced and not heated. Weekly cleaning is included. There are laundry facilities onsite. An airport transfer service is available for a fee. There are security cameras and 24/7 emergency telephone. There is parking in the same building (for 20EUR per day) and an elevator that goes directly to your floor from the garage. A lock-up for bikes is also available. The breakfast basket includes coffee, tea, Cola Cao, milk, pastries, oranges, sandwiches, fruit, yogurt and bottled water and is an additional fee. Bathroom and pool towels, toiletries and a kitchen cleaning kit are included.
About the Location
The Via Augusta Residence is located on Via Augusta 58-60 in the Gracia district of Barcelona. It’s a block away from the Libertat food market where you’ll be able to buy the fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and local products from the countryside. The neighborhood is relaxed, away from the hustle and bustle of the center but still close enough to feel in the heart of the city. Discover hip independent shops, artisanal food markets, and buzzing bars and restaurants. There are local supermarkets, pharmacies and superb transport links with plenty of bus, train and metro stations. Gràcia FGC / metro station is on the doorstep and the city center is about 15 minutes away. Get here from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport in 50 minutes by train or 20 minutes by taxi or the hotel transfer service.

There are 10 apartments available: eight 1-bedroom apartments in a building with an elevator and two 2-bedroom apartments in a 2-story building with stairs. The 2-bedroom 70 m2 apartments have 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), 2 bathrooms and can sleep up to 6 with a double sofabed in the living room. The 1 bedroom 55 m2 apartments have 1 double bedroom and 1 bathroom and can sleep up to 4 people with a double sofabed in the living room. All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, living room and TV and a private balcony. Outside there is a communal pool with sun loungers, a children’s play area and a terrace with table and chairs and lounge seating. Hip and cool. This Barcelona hotel with apartments gets full marks for style with a clean interior lines and brightly colored linens. The bathrooms are contemporary spa-style and the bedrooms are relaxing with cool, white drapes. Exterior walls are painted a sunny orange that contrast with the blue pool and there are planters with lush, green foliage. We love the fresh, contemporary look, the pool area with plenty of loungers to soak up the sunshine and the sanctuary-like feel in the heart of the city.
