This bright second-floor residence in a characterful building has a large comfortable living room, ideal for kids playing inside while you relax or cook. The bathroom is quite big with a big bath for the kids and a shower. The location makes it easy for a stay in the city with characterful neighborhoods and family attractions an easy stroll away.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys and books for kids under 8 and is a great family space with a living room large enough for wheeled toys. The kids room are bright and colorful. A high chair and a baby bed can be provided on request. Take the kids to traditional markets and museums including the Louvre and return for lunch!

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days. The apartment is on the second floor with an elevator. There is room to leave a stroller near the elevator on the ground floor. The balcony terrace is secured for children. Further child-safety proofing includes security locks on the kids bedroom windows and no stairs in the apartment. The neighborhood is very safe. Note that no crib is available.

About the Location

In the historic heart of Paris, near the boulevards, the Louvre, the Galeries Lafayette, Tuileries and the Opera House, this neighborhood is very friendly and can satisfy all tastes. A 10-15 minute walk will take you to museums, theaters, shops and restaurants, along with Pigalle, Montorgueil and Montmartre. The Gare du Nord, for Eurostar, is a 15-minute taxi ride away; Charles de Gaulle airport is a 20-minute drive.

Accommodation Details

This one-floor apartment has a large open-plan living room with an American kitchen, separate dining table and lounge area. There are 4 bedrooms in total - a master bedroom, a smaller double bedroom and 2 kids bedrooms, one with a single bed and the other with 2 single beds. There is a balcony terrace; there are 2 bathrooms, with bathtub and shower, and 2 toilets.

Style Notes

This loft-style apartment is bright, light, modern and sophisticated. It was renovated in 2008 to add modern touches and retain some period charm with rounded doors and ceiling mouldings, so it has plenty of charm. We love the airy and easy living of the open-plan kitchen-diner-lounge space along with the secluded feel of the screened outdoor balcony.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

The Dumont Residence is wonderful! We had a great time as a family of 4 adults - 2 couples - and 2 kids. Each couple and each kid had their own rooms. The living area is very spacious and the balcony is great for sitting in the morning or evening. It is an easy walk to multiple Metro lines, and not far from the train station either. We would gladly come stay in the Dumont Residence again!
