Perks for the Parents

A fabulous family-friendly rental on the North Fork, within walking distance from a carousel, ice cream shop and playground. It sleeps 6. Parents can relax around the brand new heated pool while kids play happily in the water, but it’s also safely fenced for peace of mind when you’re indoors. This home-from-home includes family essentials to make your family vacation fun and easy, including a laundry room with brand new Samsung washer and dryer, luxury hotel linens and bedding, smart TVs with Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO, books, board games, an Orbit record player, an oversized terrace with a Weber gas grill.

Why Kids Love it

The apartment itself features a secret children's play nook with plenty of toys and games, BabyBjorn travel crib, crib sheets, changing mat, kid's dinnerware, pool toys, children's beach toys and chairs, cribs and high chairs, all available on request, so kids are made to feel welcome. The pool is half shallow so kids can splash around and have fun safely, or use the host’s bikes and scooters to explore Greenport Village. The hosts recommend visiting Harbes Family Farm and the Long Island Aquarium - there is no shortage of things to do with kids on the North Fork.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Safety notes: the apartment is on the second floor, so there are stairs. Six adults maximum are allowed for overnight stay [not including kids]. Pool hours are from 9am to 8pm. Outside music must be off by 8pm. This is the upstairs apartment of a 2-family home. The downstairs apartment is not available, but you will have the pool/backyard exclusively to yourself during your stay.

About the Location

The house is located in Greenport Village, North Fork - 2 hours from Manhattan/Brooklyn for international airports. It’s 10 minutes’ walk from the train station with plenty within walking distance, so car rental is not essential. It’s a safe side street in the heart of the village, so it’s easy for kids to explore. Nearby you'll find restaurants, shops, an arcade, a playground and more. For beaches, enjoy 5th Street beach (a 7-minute drive away).

Accommodation Details

The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set on 1 floor. The primary bedroom boasts a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom (with a sliding door leading to an oversized terrace). The second bedroom features a queensize bed and a desk for home working and the third room is ideal for kids, with 2 single beds and a children’s play nook. The residence comes with complimentary Native bath products, a coffee maker with complimentary coffee, complimentary welcome wine from Bedell, beach chairs and oversized beach towels.

Style Notes

White delight. The apartment is light-flooded and recently renovated so everything is brand new. Modern luxuries blend with cheery and modern coastal design throughout, on a sleek all-white palette that perfectly complements the seaside location. The outdoors is also referenced in the natural textures used for the furnishings, together with the leafy green living room wallpaper. We love the exposed timber beams in the living area, the brilliant blue beds in the children’s bedroom and the colorful coastal artwork.

Greenport, North Fork

Beach houses and easy living

Getting away from it all is easy in Greenport - the only question is whether you want to be by the beach, on the ocean or driving quiet country roads in search of farm-fresh food. Centring around its marina, the village has a handful of museums and a vintage carousel, while nearby you’ll discover vineyards, beaches, and nature preserves.

What a lovely place! Very well appointed, the bedrooms are big and comfy and the living room is a great place to watch a movie. More than enough room for our family of four. The location is great for exploring Greenport without a car. Its a very walkable town. Loved the neighborhood.
