It has beautiful views and great restaurants, plus a grocery store a few kilometers away and a playground within walking distance. Florence is the closest airport, 30 km away, and Florence’s train station, Santa Maria Novella is the closest, 25 km away.

We are an Italian family with 2 teenaged daughters, running a wine estate in Chianti and a hotel in Florence. We have many pets: 4 dogs, 4 horses, 2 ponies, and many chickens and geese on the estate. We have a large organic vegetable garden, produce wine and olive oil and love cooking with the fresh products from our land. We travel often and look to stay in places were there are fun things for kids to do but without compromising on luxury. At the moment our favorite destinations are Kenya, Florida and cruising around the Mediterranean on our yacht.

Greve In Chianti, Florence

The heart of the Chianti area

If you’re looking for vineyards, medieval towns and fairytale castles, Greve-in-Chianti, the gateway to the Chianti region, is the place to stay. Around 30 km south of Florence and 40 km north of Siena, it is well located for day trips and excursions. Stop at Piazza Matteotti for an espresso while the kids deliberate over the best gelato flavor, and don’t miss the magical Castle of Montefioralle just above the town.
