Perks for the Parents

A spacious and luxurious house in West Hampstead with a cinema, fitness room and piano - for grand London stays. It sleeps 10-12. This is a fabulous home for parents traveling with friends, teens, grandparents or a nanny - there are 2 bedrooms on the top floor which have their own living area, kitchenette and bathroom, so there’s plenty of privacy if you need space for your group. There’s a very sophisticated feel here, for parents who like a little luxury, as well as plenty of quiet spots for work and an amazing home gym overlooking the garden. Check out the beautiful primary bedroom with its ensuite bathroom and roll-top bath - the perfect place to unwind after busy days in the city.

Why Kids Love it

Despite its grown-up interiors, this house still feels fun and very cool for older kids and teens. They’ll love hanging out in the cinema room, which comes complete with a snooker table and DVD player, while older teens can join you in the gym (or watch you working up a sweat from the chilled-out garden). Independent kids can escape the rest of the family and have the top floor all to themselves, or if you have younger ones who are soccer fans, they’ll love the fifth bedroom with football artwork, which is right by the primary bedroom. You’ll also find a small soccer pitch at the local park too.

Things to Know

This home has AC in the primary, second and third bedrooms only. Between June and September, the host will place fans in each bedroom if required. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. There is a sofabed in the office which can be set up for 2 extra guests. Please let us know when you book if you would like it prepared. The fireplace in this home is ornamental. This home has a fourth sitting room which is not pictured. While pets are welcome in this home, an extra cleaning fee will be added to your booking. Please check when booking. One loveable dog lives in this home; they won't be around during your stay but this home may not be suitable for those with allergies. The fourth bedroom and second bathroom are on the lower ground floor. The housekeeper will visit on Thursdays between 10am and 3pm to clean the home. This home is spread over 4 floors with no internal elevator. The TV in the third bedroom can only be used as a monitor. There are no TV functions available for use. This home no longer has a basketball net and court in its garden. There is parking on request at this home, which if available can be pre-arranged. Complimentary Lovevery Play Kit for kids (0-4yrs) during your stay T&C's apply.

About the Location

The house is located in the heart of West Hampstead, a short walk from the transport links at West Hampstead station (for tube and overground lines). It’s also within walking distance of Kilburn High Road and Swiss Cottage stations. West Hampstead is known for being a leafy and residential part of the city, with a multi-cultural scene and plenty of cafes and shops lining the nearby Finchley Road. It’s half an hour’s walk to Queens Park or Primrose Hill, and 20 minutes on the tube to Hampstead Heath, where you’ll find spectacular views over London, outdoor bathing ponds and countless play and sports areas. It’s around 1 hour from Heathrow by car or train/tube.

Accommodation Details

The house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, set over 4 floors. As well as the cinema and fitness room, you’ll find 5 sitting rooms; 2 on the left of the entrance, both bright with stunning artwork. There’s another on the right, and beyond is the open-plan kitchen, which leads out to the large garden. Downstairs are the cinema and fitness rooms, as well as a bathroom and the fourth bedroom with a kingsize bed. The primary bedroom is on the first floor, with a roll-top bath in the ensuite. Straight ahead is the bathroom, and on the left you’ll come to the fifth bedroom (with 2 singles), which leads into the light office and the dark-tiled ensuite. Up again, the second bedroom (with a kingsize bed) and the understated third bedroom each have their own stand-alone living quarters – including an ensuite, sitting room and kitchen.

Style Notes

Deep Drama. This dark and decadent home has been decorated with rich, deep tones and dramatic artwork to truly make a statement. The stand-out living space and kitchen is flooded with light thanks to the full-scale floor-to-ceiling windows, and finished with some key pieces such as the dripping chandelier over the island and the in-built kitchen lighting. We love the bookshelves and the ladder in the living room, where you can delve into the hosts’ library, as well as the sumptuously elegant primary bedroom furnishings and the traditional curved windows upstairs.
