Why Kids Love it

Kids will enjoy the large living room and very soft rug, with plenty of room to play on the floor and spread out. The living room banquette is filled with puzzles for the whole family to enjoy. There’s plenty of space to play in the large backyard, as well as enough room to set up an inflatable pool and other lawn games (the house has a corn hole set). Kids of all ages will love the gardens, where they are encouraged to pick herbs and vegetables (choose from sage, basil, mint and rosemary for herbs as well as squash, zucchini, tomatoes and strawberries). They can also spot and pick from the property’s fruit trees - look out for peaches, meyer lemons, plums, figs and even artichokes.

Style Notes

California farmhouse. This chic and modern home blends classic farmhouse features with the best of contemporary amenities. The house was built in the 1950s and lovingly renovated in 2022: the kitchen boasts brand new quartz countertops, a farm sink, a custom copper hood and French doors that overlook the outdoor yard and garden. Each room has thoughtful and relaxed touches, grounded in neutral tones and textures for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We love the rustic round dining table, the subtle monochrome artwork and the black iron bed frame.

Hi I’m Kelci! My partner Ben and I split time between San Francisco and hosting our wine country home in Healdsburg, CA. Healdsburg is a gem of a small town that we love introducing families to. We happily provide recommendations for our favorite local businesses and strive to give families a great experience to connect them to the community here and hope they return. When we're not hosting we love exploring California, cooking at home, finding new local spots and of course, traveling.

Healdsburg, Sonoma

Wine, Peanuts and picnic groves

Picture-perfect Healdsburg is one of the most beautiful small towns in northern California and the ideal place to base yourself for vineyard tours and Russian River exploration. Stroll around its 19th century plaza, sip wine in tasting rooms and enjoy the great outdoors. Family-focused wineries nearby entertain all ages with picnic areas, swimming pools and bocce ball courts. Beyond the wine, there is a Charles Schultz Museum in nearby Santa Rosa for big Peanuts fans, Safari West, and San Francisco is an easy hour's drive away.
