Quintessential English. The cottage has been lovingly renovated with no expense spared. The period features of the house have been styled with antiques, beautiful furnishings, and luxurious brand new mattresses and bedding. Each room has been fitted with blackout blinds, and new mattresses and antique furniture. We love the private walled garden, the cozy attic bedroom and the playful blackboard wall in the kitchen.

We are a family of four, who love adventures of any kind. We love to travel, discover new places, find out about new cultures, and prefer to sit in the local cafe, than eat at the smartest new place in town. My partner is a comedy writer, and I work in TV Production. Yes he does steal all his material from the kids! I also run an events and concierge company, organising bespoke arts and culture trips. Check it out www.mycultureclub.com, it would be great to have you join us.

Messing about on the river

Ratty, the Water Rat in Wind in the Willows, memorable said that there was nothing he liked as much as messing about on the river. If you feel the same, Henley-on-Thames is your place. This historic and beautiful boutique-packed town is set on the river and is known for its Royal Regatta which takes place each summer. Take the kids to the fantastic River & Rowing Museum, which has regular events, play in local playgrounds and hire boats to explore the weeping willow-fringed river and beyond.
