Style Notes

Modern rustic. A cozy country escape with log cabin vibes set in a glorious rural spot amongst the hills. Natural woods have been used inside and out, to frame windows and doors, in fireplace surrounds and to provide elegant beam support to the statement vaulted ceiling. Contemporary furnishings, art and lighting sit alongside antique finds such as the farmhouse table and country benches to create a comfortable yet characterful feel. Colorful portraits and giant rugs add further warmth and texture. We love the kids’ den with its vibrant bean bags, playful artworks and fun atmosphere that carries outside to the porch area with its fun swing seat and spacious deck for fun, games, and coffees with a view.

We are a family of four living in Tribeca. We love getting away from the city to wind down in the country and exploring the many different towns and being outside in nature in Hudson Valley as well as traveling and discovering new places around the world!

Hillsdale, Hudson Valley

Ski stations, swimming holes, culture and farms

This hamlet, just under an hour south of Albany and around two hours from New York City, sums up everything that’s great about the New York State countryside. Ski stations that transform into summer playgrounds? Check. Swimming holes, farm stands, hiking trails and fishing streams? Got that too. Set between the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires, this popular weekender spot has an annual folk festival and plenty of culture and dining options for visitors to love. It’s been our little secret...until now.
