A short drive from beaches and downtown, this contemporary home is stylish and set in a leafy neighborhood. Set over one level with a patio garden and spacious open plan living space, it is ideal for a family stay, and has hand-picked designer furnishings and a chef's kitchen. Nearby treats include a sushi restaurant down the street (Shintaro), the Yamashiro restaurant up the hill with incredible LA views and a Thursday farmer's market, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame under 10 minutes' walk away.

The green, vibrant neighbourhood and nearby park are family friendly and ideal for kids. Santa Monica beach and Malibu are also within easy driving distance. The owners live in the house next door and have a toddler; they can provide a selection of toys and books at check in.

The home is in the Hollywood Hills on a quiet, residential street a 5-minute walk to the Hollywood Bowl. The subway is 5 minutes’ walk away and can take you anywhere in LA or the surrounding areas. A grocery store is 2 blocks away, and there is a play park nearby. LAX Airport is 40 minutes by car, or 1.45 hours by public transport.

Accommodation Details

This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom residence has a private yard and master deck. There is a spacious open plan kitchen-diner-lounge as the main space, plus 2 bathrooms, 1 with a soaking tub and 1 with shower. The master and second bedroom have queensize beds while the third bedroom has a full/double bed. There is also a travel crib. The home has no stairs and is very baby friendly. Outside space includes a patio and café-style seating.

Style Notes

Spanish modern. This is a historic Spanish 1920s home blending vintage charm with a modern overhaul. Arched windows let in the California sun, while the dark hardwood floors showcase the designer furniture and high-end materials. The kitchen is newly refurbished, with marble countertops and stainless steel appliances, while bathrooms have custom tiling. We love the fantastic kitchen, with beautiful lighting, the serene bedroom and the private deck with palm tree views.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

To truly soak in the mass sprawl of LA, you need a good vantage point and Hollywood Hills has just that. As part of the Santa Monica Mountains and directly north of central LA, this hilly mass of trees, gorgeous views, luxury mansions and infinity pools is where many celebs call home. Don your sneakers and go for a hike in Runyon Canyon Park, view the Hollywood sign from Griffith Observatory or by horseback at Sunset Ranch and pass by the homes of movie stars above the Sunset Strip.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! The owner responded very fast when something came up. I would definitely stay there again! Location is great, friendly and residential neighborhood.
