The Haberdasher Street Residence
Perks for the Parents
A compact city-center apartment close to Old Street, with cool interiors and a shared outdoor space. It sleeps 4. Those looking for an edgy adventure in the heart of the capital won’t be disappointed by this urban warehouse-style setting. It’s just a short trip into the heart of the original ‘square mile’ - the city of London - so you’ll be just 15 minutes from some of the capital’s best-known sights.
Why Kids Love it
Although there aren't any toys or books for little kids here, it’s a great spot for older children and teens. There’s a playground and a pizza parlor at the end of the street, and Shoreditch Park (under 10 minutes’ walk) boasts an adventure playground and leisure center. Locals love hanging out at Hackney City Farm and cafe and teens will love the eclectic streets of Brick Lane and Shoreditch (both 20 minutes on foot).
Things to Know
No smoking, pets or parties. Please note, the outdoor patio is a shared space. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, however they can be pushed together to create another double on request.
About the Location
Tucked away on a quiet street a stone’s throw from some of the capital’s trendiest cafes and restaurants, the apartment is located between Hoxton, Shoreditch and Old Street. Families love exploring the vibrant colors of Columbia Road flower market on Sundays (15 minutes’ walk) and the global boutiques at the newly-developed Spitalfields market (20 minutes’ walk). The nearest station is Old Street (6 minutes) for access to the Central Line.
Accommodation Details
The property has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with a bathtub. The primary bedroom boasts a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has 2 singles, which can be set up as a double room. There’s a cozy living room with a small dining table for 2 and a separate kitchen. The area is full of cool eateries, street food outlets and restaurants, so there’s no need to cook, although the clean-cut kitchenette is ideal for morning coffees and family snack time.
Style Notes
Urban cool. Its vibrant design aesthetic unashamedly holds a torch to its hip Hoxton setting. Colorful painted furniture pieces stand out against dark walls and the historic bones of the building are visible in subtle features, such as the (blocked) fireplace, traditional doors and bay windows. We love the striking red halfway, the exquisite Persian rug in the living room and the classic wooden floors.
