Perks for the Parents

An architect-designed home in rural San Rafael, with a kids play area and stunning outdoor spaces. It sleeps 10. Parents will love lounging in the garden, which boasts a stunning 22m x 5m pool, perfect for long daily swims or lounging with the family. The BBQ area has an outside dining space and kitchen, which leads on to a wide open terraced area of lawn and shade. These terraces graduate down the hill to a fruit orchard next to the torrent providing oranges, lemons and pomegranate throughout the year. Parents can also take advantage of the yoga platform outside, to relax and reconnect in peaceful surroundings.

Why Kids Love it

The saltwater pool is great for sensitive skin, allowing kids to play all day with easy, step-in entry (please note that the pool is not gated). Younger kids can play out on the trampoline, ride on the swings or play in the children’s play house outside. There are also 2 twin rooms that are ideal for siblings to share. For indoor entertainment, the house is wired with an intelligent AV system allowing control from any phone or tablet to play music, movies or videos in different areas of the house terrace or pool. The whole family will enjoy the cinema room, and TVs with Apple TV and satellite.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 nights. Rates range from 24kEUR to 33kEUR per week, depending on the season. Housekeeping is included (4 hours daily). There is an extra fee of around 1000EUR (prices may vary slightly depending on number of nights stay) to cover the welcome pack, any special requests, 'small' damages, wear and tear and Eco-tax. The house runs with many eco-friendly features: water is provided from an underground well and then purified through reverse osmosis tanks to provide clean drinkable water throughout the house. Parking is available outside the house - car rental is essential.

About the Location

The villa is perfectly located in a tranquil location not far away from San Rafael in the center of Ibiza. Sitting in 33,000 sqm of the countryside, it has 7 acres of woodland, terraced orchards and a torrent running through the land. San Rafael (less than 10 minutes’ drive) is a picturesque village with some fantastic eateries. The location is within easy reach of Ibiza Town (20 minutes) or the beaches of the north and east. Santa Eularia (20 minutes) is a very popular beach town with visiting families. The popular restaurants and bars of Santa Gertrudis are also nearby (12 minutes’ drive). The airport is around 20 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

The villa has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. There are multiple areas for lounging (indoor and outdoor), as well as a central indoor kitchen and dining room. The upstairs primary bedroom has a kingsize bed, TV, dressing room and a private terrace overlooking the pool. The other bedrooms are all on the ground floor. There are 2 bedrooms in the west wing: 1 double, with terrace access facing the pool, as well as a second guest room with 2 twin beds. The final 2 bedrooms are in the east wing: 1 double with a private terrace facing the pool and a second guest room with 2 twin beds and a TV.

Style Notes

Updated rustic. Designed by the notable architect Blakstad, this property maintains a centuries old traditional style of architecture, updated with fantastic modern features. Exposed wood beams and the brick fireplace give a nod to the history of the building, while the all-white color palette and subtle pops of coastal blue reference the Balearic spirit. We love the Bali-style beds around the pool, the spectacular outdoor U-shaped couch and the global-inspired artifacts that adorn the home.
