Cosmopolitan Santa Gertrudis offers up chic vibes alongside arty boutiques, bohemian cafes and an excellent choice of family-friendly restaurants, with the added bonus of a pedestrianized center so parents can relax while the kids play. For laid back days at home, this relaxing villa has more than enough space for families who like to spend time together, as well as apart. The light, airy living room has a large TV for movie nights in, while outside, there’s a cosmopolitan sundeck with luxurious day beds, and a cool, shady veranda for leisurely alfresco dining. The primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, and comes with access to a large first floor terrace for enjoying a peaceful morning coffee, and a view.

Why Kids Love it

Kids have plenty of play space in this roomy residence with their own bunk/playroom full of toys and books, and a living room with a large flat screen TV for catching up with a movie or a latest series. Outside, there’s an outdoor pool, large enough for games as well as serious swim sessions, a huge trampoline, and a shady veranda with a BBQ and outdoor kitchen for laid back alfresco lunches. Nearby Santa Gertrudis has 2 playgrounds, and the center of the village offers plenty of family friendly cafes and restaurants serving up everything from relaxed vegan cuisine to luxe Italian fare. For outdoorsy kids, there are plenty of local activities on offer across the island including horse riding, go-karting and surfing, as well as various hiking and biking trails in the local countryside. Family-friendly San Miguel beach is a short drive away offering up a variety of water sports, and a shallow, gently shelving beach which is perfect for little paddlers.

Things to Know

Please note that the pool itself is ungated but the balcony/terrace is fully enclosed with a gate allowing parents to control access down to the pool area. The lawn area is Astroturf, ideal for games and little crawlers. There is a large trampoline with safety netting. The kids’ bunk room has access to a first floor terrace where younger ones should be supervised (though access can be restricted by keeping the doors closed). There is a nanny / housekeeper that lives onsite with separate entrance so babysitting can be arranged. A few hours daily housekeeping is included in the price, specifics to be agreed with the host.

About the Location

The villa is set in the charming town of Santa Gertrudis, often referred to as ‘Ibiza’s loveliest village’, for its peaceful but hip vibes and whitewashed buildings. It offers up a wonderful selection of boutiques, cafes and restaurants - including some vegan offerings, an ice cream shop and 2 lovely playgrounds. Set in Ibiza’s beautiful heartlands, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails to explore in the surrounding countryside. For those seeking more excitement, Ibiza Town is just a 15 minute drive away, with a vibrant nightlife scene and trendy boutiques. Some of Ibiza’s best loved beaches are an easy drive away with San Miguel 15 minutes by car, pine clad Benirrás 18 minutes and the amenities of Santa Eulalia also close by. Ibiza airport is a 20-minute drive.

Accommodation Details

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms set over 3 floors. Designed for seamless indoor/outdoor living, the main living areas connect to an outdoor terrace and kitchen via glass doors. The central living room has sofas, a TV and a fireplace with plenty of natural light streaming in through its windows. The outdoor kitchen area has a wine fridge, and a BBQ grill, while the contemporary inside kitchen is fully equipped with everything a guest might expect including a dishwasher, a coffee maker and a table seating 4. There’s 1 bathroom on this floor complete with a bathtub, and 1 double bedroom. Upstairs on the first floor, guests will find 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet, an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower and provides access to a magnificent first floor terrace. There’s a kids’ bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed sleeping 4 in total, and a third double bedroom with plenty of closet space and bathroom with rain showers. Outside, there’s a well-maintained garden with a pretty shaded veranda terrace and a dining table seating 8. This steps down to an Astroturf area, and the large outdoor pool with its own sun deck and a selection of daybeds. Across the garden there is a large trampoline with safety net for energetic kids.

Inside, clean and contemporary interiors utilise a largely neutral color palette to create bright and breezy living. There are classic touches with wooden beams, a fireplace and vintage furnishings, uplifted by a recently renovated kitchen and sleek, modern bathrooms, kitted out with all the latest mod cons. The villa is both homely and spacious, with picture windows and glass sliding doors letting the light in and providing a seamless flow between spaces. We love the chic outdoor pool with its classic sun deck and luxurious contemporary day beds for relaxing in style.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
