Perks for the Parents

This stylish, contemporary 1-bedroom apartment, 1-bathroom apartment is just off Strøget in Copenhagen's bustling heart right near Tivoli Gardens. It sleeps up to 4 + 1 and works best for 2 adults plus a baby. The open plan chef’s kitchen with a dishwasher is spacious and great for cooking and socializing together. If you’d rather go out, the area is a foodie heaven with some of Copenhagen’s best restaurants (nearly all are child-friendly) on the doorstep.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys and books for children under 10 and there are no sharp corners in the living area. It’s a 3-minute walk to the local playground. A travel crib, high chair, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request. In a great part of the city, the attractions – including the cobbled pedestrian streets of the old town to museums – are within easy walking distance for little legs.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. Please note there is no dedicated kids’ bedroom, a travel crib and baby seat for feeding are available. The flat is safe and secure on the 3rd floor. Note the elevator goes only to 2nd floor out to the yard, from which you walk up a 1 flight of outdoor stairs to the unit. There is a lovely outdoor space on the 2nd floor which is closed off and safe for children to play. A car is not necessary to enjoy Copenhagen. There are trains and the metro runs 24/7. Bikes are the best way to get around however and bike hire is plentiful. There are metro stops 2 blocks away, along with PATH trains, and the property is walking distance from all downtown neighborhoods.

About the Location

The apartment is located in the central K district of downtown Copenhagen, also known as Indre By; well known for its colorful buildings lining the waters of Nyhavn. It’s the most visited neighborhood and nearby are the family-friendly Tivoli Gardens and the folkloric Little Mermaid statue. The apartment is just off the vibrant pedestrianized shopping street of Strøget, where you’ll find smart shops and child-friendly cafes and restaurants. It is approximately 20 minutes by taxi from Copenhagen Airport.

An open plan lounge / diner / kitchen makes up the main living space and has a dining table seating up to 4 plus a baby seat. Style Notes

Airy, bright and modern. The wooden floors and white walls are typically Scandinavian minimalist and clutter free. The sleek black kitchen has high end appliances and smart closing functions. The house plants and modern artwork bring the space alive. We love the comfortable lounge, the contemporary bathroom and the shared roof space with plants and outdoor dining.

Indre By, Copenhagen

Cobbled streets, cozy cafes and designer shops

Copenhagen’s oldest neighborhood, the ‘inner city’, is all cobbled streets, cozy cafes and designer shops. This being Copenhagen, there are plenty of places to play, including The King’s Garden, which stages shows and events for families in the summer. It’s a great location for the modern waterfront and the city’s museums too.
