A traditional London terrace house with family-friendly bedroom options, a courtyard garden and the sights of the city within easy reach. It sleeps 6. Parents will love this urban and historic area, surrounded by relaxed eateries, shops and nightlife. There are plenty of green spaces for kids, and if you’re here to work, you can get pretty much anywhere in the city in less than half hour.
Why Kids Love it
The house doesn’t come with toys or books for children, but there’s plenty of kid-friendly activities nearby. It’s just around the corner from Graham Street park and playground, which has a fun sandpit. There are 2 more city playgrounds within a 5-minute walk and Harry Potter fans will enjoy a visit to Kings Cross station (less than half an hour away on foot or 15 minutes by tube) to see Platform 9 ¾
Things to Know
No pets, parties or smoking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. The home is set over 4 floors, with no stair gates.
About the Location
This Victorian home is located in Angel, Islington close to the Regent’s Canal. It’s 8 minutes’ walk to Angel tube station and 10 minutes to Sadler’s Wells Theater at the base of the bustling Upper Street which is filled with shops, pubs and restaurants. The museums of Fitzrovia and Clerkenwell are 15 minutes’ walk. The popular markets and nightlife of Shoreditch are 15 minutes by tube. Stanstead and Heathrow airports are just over 1 hour by car or train.
Accommodation Details
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the entry level, you’ll find a dining room with a table for 6 and kitchen with a breakfast bar on the island. There’s also a WC on this floor. On a lower ground floor, the living room leads to the courtyard garden. Upstairs on the first floor, there’s a primary bedroom with a kingsize bed, a cozy armchair and a large closet. This spacious bathroom has a large bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. Upstairs again to the top floor, a second bedroom has 2 single beds and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. This bathroom can be accessed by the top floor bedrooms: the third bedroom has a kingsize bed and a hanging rail for storage.
Style Notes
Old meets new. This clean and contemporary house has a modern heart with a contrasting historic outer shell. A traditional city townhouse in classic London brick, it still retains the original style windows and shutters but has been brought up-to-date with a sleek white kitchen and contemporary furnishings. We love the understated chunky wooden bar stools, the welcoming wood burner and the sparkling renovated bathrooms.
