Perks for the Parents

This garden apartment with a pool in northern Greece is set on Palio Bay with beaches a short walk away. Part of a private villa, it is autonomous and comfortably sleeps 5-6. The open plan layout makes it highly suitable for families. A 5-minute walk takes you to the beautiful sandy Palio beach. Note that the property shares some areas with the main villa, including a front garden entrance and private parking access.

Why Kids Love it

This family friendly apartment works well for those with children over the age of 3. The pool is great and it is only a short walk to the beach from the apartment. While there is only 1 bedroom, the living space has 2 additional twin beds and a double sofa bed. Toys and books, 2 cribs, 1 walker and a playpen are included. There is a playground close to the house (2 minutes' drive) and in the nearby villages Iraklista and Peramos, there are playgrounds, marinas, promenades and restaurants appealing to families.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Young children will need supervision, notably around the ungated pool and steps in the garden and pool terrace. There are also some internal steps in the open plan living space that might be tricky for toddlers. The pool is unheated. There is parking for up to 4 cars outside the main gate of the villa. The apartment has WiFi. Upon arrival guests will be informed on the quiet hours and swimming pool rules. Note that the house dog will not interfere with guests as it will only be using the front garden and indoor space of the owners (2 upper floors). No pets; no parties. Check in after 2pm preferred.

About the Location

This property is on Palio beach in northeast Greece. It is known for its beautiful beach and has a range of tourist facilities. The apartment is a 3-minute walk from a bus stop with a regular service to the city of Kavala and the nearby villages. It takes 20 minutes to reach Kavala by bus or 10 minutes by car. The owners can suggest car rental services and arrange airport pick up and taxi transfers on request. The nearest international airport is in Kavala, 45 minutes’ drive away; there is another in Thessaloniki, just under 2 hours’ drive away. Kavala airport has daily and frequent direct flights to Athens.

Accommodation Details

This ground floor family apartment has a private pool, outdoor bar and sitting area plus a fully equipped BBQ / outdoor kitchen space. The indoor space is open plan with a semi-private bedroom with desk, a spacious bathroom with shower, and an open plan kitchen/dining/living space with 2 twin beds and a double sofa bed for additional guests. There is also an indoor bar; a treadmill and gym equipment is available.

Style Notes

Bright, modern and sophisticated. Despite the hot temperatures of July and August it maintains a cool temperature throughout the day and night meaning there is no need for air conditioning. The garden design includes concrete, tiles, exposed stonework, garden stones, greenery and water, plus contemporary design furniture touches around the bar and swimming pool area. We love the sunny terrace, the easy living spaces and the fantastic location so close to sandy beaches.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We are a young family that hopes to provide a great holiday experience to all the travelers that will choose our villa's apartment as their holiday base. We have both traveled and studied abroad and after 10 years returned to our base, the beautiful city of Kavala in the North of Greece. Kavala is a great coastal city and we love the life here; being able to swim every day for 6 months is not something that we could resist to hence we decided to move back here 2 year ago. We hope that travelers will feel like home here and enjoy the opportunity of being close to nature both the sea and the mountains. We are very happy that the time for us to be listed on this website has arrived and we really do hope that our property will become a reason to attract visitors to this beautiful city and its area.
