About the Location

This house is secluded from car traffic and the hustle and bustle of Ocean Avenue, on a lovely private lane perfect for hopscotch and riding bikes. It’s situated in Kennebunkport's most central location. It’s just under 2 walkable miles (or 8 minutes’ drive) from bustling Dock Square where there are eateries, museums and the marina, and 10 minutes’ drive from charming Cape Porpoise. It’s just a few minutes’ drive from beaches (Goose Rocks, Colony Beach, Gooch's) and 5 minutes’ walk from President Bush’s Compound. There is ample free parking to be found within blocks of each beach. It’s 1.5 hours from Boston airport.

Accommodation Details

The home has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. The primary bedroom is on the 2nd floor and boasts a kingsize bed as well as an anteroom with armchairs, a fireplace, and a crib. On the same level are 2 guest bedrooms with queensize beds and the kids room with a set of bunk beds. A second king suite is on its own floor, upstairs. There's also a ‘playroom’ that has plenty of room for an air mattress. The kitchen will be the hub, with its well-appointed appliances and furnishings. Grab a high stool and eat breakfast at the marble kitchen island, or head to the adjoining dining room, perfect for more formal meals. Outside, there’s a formal outdoor table seating 10 with a grill, plus a smaller table on the deck.

Style Notes

Coastal classic. This warm family home is one of a kind. It was recently remodeled and is generously proportioned, with all-new top-of-the-line furnishings and lots of windows to let in the Maine sunshines. Subtle neutral tones are complemented with navy and coastal blues to complement the surrounding ocean location. We love the luxurious marble bathrooms, the rustic natural wood furnishings and that beautiful freestanding bathtub in the primary bathroom.
