Style Notes
Built in 1889, this polished boutique hotel draws inspiration from the neighborhood museums to create individual decor for each room. Whether the design is based on astronomy, music, ornithology, geometry or botany, the end result is elegant and timeless, with a relaxed, eclectic feel. Plump armchairs and velvet textures add an eccentric, British touch while the contemporary restaurant has a more industrial, contemporary edge. We love the feather-print wallpaper, the cushioned oversized headboards and the quirky striped furnishings in the drawing room.

Hyde Park, Harrods and Her Majesty
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a certain cachet. It’s where you’ll find Buckingham Palace, Sloane Square, the King’s Road, Harrods and many of the most upmarket stores and areas of the city. For kids, Hyde Park is a must-do, whether you go boating on the Serpentine on summer or enjoy the kid-friendly cafés around it. It’s a central area very well connected with the rest of the city by bus and Tube.
