The Kings Road Residence
Perks for the Parents
Immerse yourself in the sought-after Chelsea lifestyle at this simple but stylish Kings Road apartment. It sleeps 4. The property overlooks a picturesque square on this famous bustling street, which is full of health food stores, family-friendly pubs, boutiques, delis and restaurants. Head out for lunch at Bluebird (3 minutes’ walk) or walk up to The Saatchi Gallery at Sloane Square (15 minutes’ walk) via a quick stop at the street’s biggest department store, Peter Jones.
Why Kids Love it
The apartment doesn’t have toys or books for little kids, so it’s best suited to school-age kids or teens in a family of 3 or 4. Kids of all ages will love exploring the vibrant stores of the Kings Road (it’s just a few buildings away from the magical pink cake store, Peggy Porschen) and you can cross the River Thames on foot at Albert Bridge to spend a quiet afternoon wandering through the leafy Battersea Park (15 minutes’ walk), or visit Battersea Park Children's Zoo to entertain little ones.

About the Location
The apartment is right on the Kings Road, 15 minutes’ walk from both Sloane Square and South Kensington underground stations (with frequent buses from your doorstep). Head north into South Kensington to visit the V&A, Science Museum or Natural History Museum (5 minutes by car or a 20-minute walk) or the wander down to the shops of Knightsbridge, including Harrods, towards the south side of Hyde Park.
Accommodation Details
The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set on the third floor (with an elevator, although there are a few steps up to the entrance from street level). Style Notes
Simply charming. The hosts have chosen subtle and neutral decor in tones of gray, cream and stone to create a calming atmosphere. Quaint patterned curtains add a traditional touch of English charm, while the host’s choice of landscapes and artwork adorn the walls for a homely feel.

Kensington & Chelsea, London
Hyde Park, Harrods and Her Majesty
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a certain cachet. It’s where you’ll find Buckingham Palace, Sloane Square, the King’s Road, Harrods and many of the most upmarket stores and areas of the city. For kids, Hyde Park is a must-do, whether you go boating on the Serpentine on summer or enjoy the kid-friendly cafés around it. It’s a central area very well connected with the rest of the city by bus and Tube.
