The kitchen and living spaces are perfect for relaxing after days out sightseeing (or early starts with children). The famous museums of South Kensington - the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and V&A - are within walking distance (around 20 minutes on foot) and parents will love exploring the vibrant Kings Road shops and cafes (less than 5 minutes’ walk).

Why Kids Love it

While this home doesn’t have toys or books for kids, there is so much to do in this area for families. Walk down to the River Thames to watch the boats sail by (under 5 minutes’ walk) or carry on over Albert Bridge all the way over to Battersea Park, one of the city’s best parks for kids, with a petting zoo, adventure playground and treetop walking trail (less than 10 minutes’ walk). The National Army Museum is 10 minutes away - great for older kids to learn about history and for toddlers to explore soft play sessions.

Things to Know

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, the hosts will place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. This home is on the second floor with elevator access, although there are a few steps up to the building entrance from the street. The wine fridge pictured in the kitchen is not for guest use. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old, we will check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay. The building next to this home is undergoing an extensive refurbishment. As a result, noise can be heard inside the flat. This home doesn’t have a dining table, only the kitchen island. Style Notes

Cool and calm. This immaculately presented home features a vibrant living space infused with music memorabilia and bold ornamentation to channel the spirit of London. There are historic period details on show, such as the fireplaces and traditional windows, but the interiors have been created with a contemporary vision. We love the bright blue kitchen, the modern bathroom tiling and the cozy large sofa.

Kensington & Chelsea, London

Hyde Park, Harrods and Her Majesty

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a certain cachet. It’s where you’ll find Buckingham Palace, Sloane Square, the King’s Road, Harrods and many of the most upmarket stores and areas of the city. For kids, Hyde Park is a must-do, whether you go boating on the Serpentine on summer or enjoy the kid-friendly cafés around it. It’s a central area very well connected with the rest of the city by bus and Tube.
