Style Notes

New York Style. “Smile, eat, love, laugh, repeat” says the text on the kitchen wall, and that’s about the size of it: this beautiful, playful and art-filled home is a great space for families to relax and enjoy themselves in the heart of Brooklyn. Owned by a Swedish-American family, there are definite notes of Scandinavian design throughout with a touch of farmhouse and a little bit of whimsy. We love the playful design touches, the sunny yellow sofa and the kitschy and fun art throughout.

We are a creative Swedish/American family and love to travel. We are passionate about art, design, and food! I run a small business designing children's goods and home decor. My husband is an artist and collectable toy designer. We have 3 kiddos: 11, 8, and 2 years old. Traveling with kids is rewarding yet challenging at times. I love the idea behind Kid and Coe! Such a wonderful concept that brings ease, fun, and convenience to traveling with kids.

We had a wonderful stay at Shannon's place. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and plenty spacious enough for our group of three adults, toddler, and newborn. Our two-year-old loved the toys and books and the proximity to Prospect Park! Shannon was so helpful, especially with sleeping accommodations, and extremely responsive to every question. We loved the cute cafes and restaurants nearby in addition to the easy park access. We would love to return!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shannon's place. Everything about it was perfect! Shannon has thoughtfully and beautifully designed the apartment - from the hand picked toiletries and linen bathrobes, scandinavian decor, and endless toys and books for our 3 little girls, to the big, bright, fully equipped kitchen where were able to enjoy cooking many delicious meals thanks to Shannon's local shopping tips. Shannon was immediate in her response to any question we had, and even offered us a parking space which enormously simplified logistics for us. Also - and especially important for me - the apartment was absolutley spotless. Overall, it felt more like we were staying in a design boutique hotel than apartment rental, and we’d love to come back!

Staying here absolutely made our holiday. It cannot be said enough that a comfortable home is everything with small children. Shannon was so welcoming and arranged to get some groceries for our arrival. We had an excellent holiday and we enjoyed staying here so very much.
