The separate kitchen has all the appliances you need (full size washer and dryer, dishwasher, gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and in sink garbage disposal), plus plates and crockery. Style Notes

Homey Brooklyn style. This apartment has been lovingly curated by the host who is a writer and musician with a family. (He also owns bars/restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn so let him know if you want to reserve a table). Newly renovated, all fixtures and furnishings have been chosen for comfort and style. Colors are neutral with wood-style floors, white walls and a mid-century modern aesthetic. We love the marble-topped dining table, the entrance to the bathroom via a quirky sliding barn-wood door, and the lovely garden terrace – perfect for a chilled drink after a day exploring the city.

My wife and I have lived in Brooklyn for over 8 years now. We both own small businesses in the area, and absolutely love the neighborhood. We have two daughters, ages 3 and 1.

Kensington, Brooklyn

In the center of Brooklyn

Quiet, unpretentious and popular with families, Kensington is just south of Prospect Park and under half an hour from Manhattan by train. Wood frame houses mingle with Brownstones along the leafy streets and families play in Ablemarle Playground. With multicultural food stores, a riding stables and great commuter links, it’s an easy place to base yourself in Brooklyn.
