About the Location

The residence is in Kentish Town, a 7-minute walk (0.3 miles) to Kentish Town tube station and around 15 minutes by car to Islington High Street. Kentish Town is quieter than Angel and Islington but close to both. Local attractions include the Union Chapel, named as one of London’s best live music venues, which donates all proceeds to the church’s work supporting homeless people. Wander down to Highbury Fields, or towards Canonbury, to find fresh produce at some of the city’s best independent butchers and fishmongers. Heathrow airport is 50 minutes away while London Stansted is an hour away. Car rental useful but not essential - there is a tube station an easy walk away.

Accommodation Details

This 4-story family home sleeps up to 6 plus a baby in 4 bedrooms. On the entry level it has a sitting room with wood burning stove and bay window, an open plan dining room and kitchen with breakfast bar, and a decked garden. The next floor up has a bedroom with a single bed and trundle that can be made up as a double bed on request, and a roof terrace. The master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom is on the floor above that, and on the top floor there is a family bathroom and 2 further bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with a crib. Bathrooms include showers and baths.

Style Notes

Modern family. With a blend of comfort, style and kid-friendliness, this London home epitomizes the best of a family stay in the city. The cozy wood burning stove in the sitting room is great for together-time in the autumn and winter, while the roof terrace offers somewhere to escape with a glass of wine when the kids are in bed and asleep. The lovely family living space downstairs with a spacious white open plan kitchen and play area at the back makes it easy to eat and play together. We love the vintage travel posters on the bedroom walls, the plush blue velvet footstool in the lounge and the soothing color palette throughout.
