Why Kids Love it

This La Jolla villa has plenty of toys for boys and girls of all ages and has oodles of space for playing, watching TV, arts and crafts, playing soccer in the garden, jumping on the trampoline or splashing in the pool. This kids’ bedroom has extra toys and equipment for little ones including a crib, changing table, baby bath and there’s a highchair downstairs. Best of all, it’s a short drive to the family-friendly La Jolla Shores beach, known for its sandy shores and gentle waves. La Jolla Cove is also nearby and a popular spot for snorkelling, swimming and watching the sea lions.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 30 nights. The hosts rent for 1-2 months over the summer and for 1 month over the holidays. Housekeeping once per week is included in your stay. Additional housekeeping available for an additional fee. Pets are welcome. There is air conditioning. Linens and towels are provided. WiFi speed is 500+Mbps, which is good for 10 devices. Safety notes: there are ungated stairs and drop-offs in the garden where very young children will need supervision. The hosts do not have outlet covers or specific baby proofing so parents should be hands on. However there is a hard cover for the pool. One of the double-twin bedrooms would be ideal for a nanny / au pair.

This 5,000 sqft residence has 5 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms (5 ensuite) on 2 floors. The open floor plan includes a chef’s kitchen, TV room, 14-person dining room table, and large living room and laundry room. Bedroom 1 & 2 have 2 kingsize beds in each. Bedroom 3 is ideal for kids with 3 twin / single beds and a crib. Bedroom 4 & 5 have 2 twin / singles in each. All the bathrooms have a shower. Outside is a spacious entryway for up to 5 cars, an expansive backyard with seating and an infinity-edge pool, hot tub, 2 outdoor entertainment areas with a BBQ, icemaker and fridge.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Just 15 minutes north of downtown San Diego, this chic, laid-back surf town is a wonderful spot for a family vacation. Not only are you within easy reach of Legoland, San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park, but there are fantastic family-friendly beaches on the doorstep and some great new friends to make. Stroll along Coast Boulevard to the Children’s Pool to see the town’s famous seals and sea lions; surf, snorkel or explore tide pools on the beach, and find out more about the local wildlife at the Birch Aquarium.
