Style Notes

Boutique lake house. This light and bright residence has been renovated with a contemporary and comfortable design approach. The blue kitchen has open wood shelves and the big picture window in the living room lets the wood and the surrounding natural beauty in. There are books to browse and vinyl to dance along to. We love the green velvet sofas that echo the trees outside, the fun hanging chair, the painted wood walls and the pops of geometrics and color against a neutral background. And of course, the lake and woods on the doorstep.

We are 2 families who are best friends, travel mates, and business partners who fell in love with Lake Arrowhead. We wanted a place for our kids to thrive and grow up together and make wonderful lasting memories. We have 5 kids between us and its a blast watching them play and explore while we sit by the fire and play games.

Lake Arrowhead, San Bernardino Mountains

Stunning scenery and cozy resorts

A haven for families, writers and other creatives, Lake Arrowhead nestles in the San Bernadino Mountains an hour and a half west of Los Angeles. The cozy mountain resort features skiing, hiking, fishing and stunning alpine scenery. Ride the paddleboat around the lake, meet wild animals at Wild Haven Ranch, or try out water skiing (or snow skiing) depending on the time of year. It's the perfect restorative break from the city, all year round.

We had a great time at the Nine Arrows Lake House. The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with touches like books, toys, and a hanging chair that are great for kids. The dock is easily accessible down a short trail and we enjoyed swimming and floating in the lake (check the restrictions on guest use of the lake if you have particular activities in mind). Set back from the lake, the back deck was private and quiet, especially since nobody was home at either of the neighboring houses. We also enjoyed hiking nearby and seeing (and hearing) lots of Steller's Jays.
