The house is especially suited for small children, with all facilities and amenities for children under 4, from crib to stroller, high chairs and lots of toys and books. The house is also suitable for families with older children, with a swing in the garden, and a trampoline. Kids love the water table in the summer. There a lots of other children to play with in the neighborhood. There is an indoor playground nearby and the Twiske natural park is at the end of the street, with beaches, large playgrounds, and a children’s farm. Guests can borrow a walking toddler bike and a children's bike with training wheels. While there is no TV, there is a projector plus Netflix account, so you can watch movies together when the kids are in bed, or have a family movie night.

The ground floor has a big open kitchen with large dinner table, living room and a garden with a terrace which can be shaded by a sunscreen, and lawn. There is a master bedroom on the next floor up, with a double bed, plus 2 children’s bedrooms, 1 with a full size bed and another with a crib. There are also bathrooms on this level with shower and tub. The second floor has another double bedroom.

Style Notes

Modern Dutch design. Bright and light, this house was newly built in 2015, in the traditional 'Zaanse' style, giving it a touch of historic style in its dark green wooden house front. It has a clean and white modern Dutch style throughout, with warm and wood details. Soft fabrics on the chairs and couch make you feel comfortable and at home. We love the garden terrace, the fun decals on the kids bedroom walls, and the great location for a city stay with plenty of space to play, run and swim.

We are a family of 4 living in a suburb of Amsterdam. Our family consists of Mark, Rosanne and our 2 girls Emma (2015) and Elin (2017). We are an active family, who loves good food and the outdoors. We are happy to let others enjoy our wonderful residence in Landsmeer.

Landsmeer, Outside Amsterdam

Green spaces and a national park

Just to the north of Amsterdam, Landsmeer is a countrified village with green spaces, canals running alongside wide, peaceful streets and a fantastic park, Het Twiske, on its doorstep. Play in its playgrounds, swim at lake beaches and explore Amsterdam in an easy day trip - it's just 15 minutes away by bus.

we had an absolute lovely and perfect stay at this beautiful home. our kids (4 and 1 yo) had an amazing time with all the toys and it was so easy to live there with all the kids furniture. Amsterdam is just a short 15 min drive away and our host Rosanne was just incredibly helpful and sweet. we are sure to rent this place again!

We enjoyed a stay with our two toddlers and newborn baby in the house of Rosanne. We booked late and although Rosanne herself was on holiday with her family, she arranged everything very quick and well so that we could stay in her cozy home. The house is very child friendly with toys inside and outside, in a quiet neighborhood and very close to Amsterdam. Rosanne communicates very smoothly and she was also very helpful.
