Lazio, Italy

Rome, relaxation and an ancient monster park

This central Italian region borders Tuscany and includes Rome along with rolling hills and fabulous palazzos. In the countryside you’ll find mountains, lakes and fabulous castles and gardens, including the 16th Century Bormazo Monster Park, a sculpture garden of stone ghouls, while Rome of course is home to some of the most evocative architecture and ancient ruins you'll find anywhere in the world. Lazio also borders the Mediterranean and there are beach resorts along the coast, theme parks and thermal spas for mom’s day off, too.
