This beautiful and spacious family home, 2.5km from Rossio Square, includes a sunny deck, front and back yards and spacious living areas, plus toys and books for kids. Set up with a main house, annex, terrace and front and back yard deck, it is well set up for a family stay and includes a full kitchen and family-sized dining area. The house dates to the 1950s and has been completely renovated with a fresh and modern look. Set in the heart of Lisbon Campolide, it is walking distance from Amoreiras shopping mall (1 km), 25 minutes’ walk from Monsanto Forest Park and 35 minutes on foot from Principe Real. Beaches on the Costa da Caparica are a 10-minute drive away.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys and books for kids under 10 and is a great family space with a spacious backyard with an outside shower for the warmest days. There is a playground just in front of the house. A crib, high chair, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request. The location is great for exploring the city and its surroundings; while it is a 35 minute walk from Principe Real, it is a 25-minute walk to Marques de Pombal, the heart of the city, and the same from the Gulbenkian Foundation, an art gallery/museum that hosts summer garden events including readings, concerts, films and family-focused activities.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights in low season; 5 days during August and September, by negotiation at other times. Note that none of the stairs are gated: there are stairs to the first floor inside and stairs outside to the upper terrace. Split over 2 floors, there is 180sqm of outdoor space. The main house has air conditioning and a fireplace; the annex has an electrical heater. All bedrooms have air conditioning. The hosts provide a guidebook to help you to enjoy the city. Also included: Cable TV, high speed internet, alarm. Internet access is available throughout the main house, annex, terrace and backyard.

About the Location

The residence is in Lisbon Campolide, close to Amoreiras, the local shopping center. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood, and is approximately 25 minutes’ walk into the city. The whole neighborhood is surrounded by Águas Livres Aqueduct, a historic aqueduct and remarkable example of 18th century Portuguese engineering. The property has a playground right in front of the house, and it is very easy to park the car on the street for free; there is open parking in the front yard. Lisbon airport is a 13-minute drive away.

Accommodation Details

This spacious 2-story home is split between a main house and an annex and includes a roof deck and front and back yards. The main house has a hall, living and dining room with table seating 6-8, and a fully equipped kitchen, all on the ground floor. The upper floor has a bedroom with queensize bed and ensuite bathroom, second bedroom with 2 single beds and third bedroom with a double/fullsize bed. The bathroom has a bath tub. The annex has a spacious living room which can be converted to a comfortable bedroom, with 2 single beds or together as a queensize bed, plus a bathroom with shower and a laundry. There is a table seating 6 and 2 sofas on the backyard deck plus an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, and a BBQ grill on the terrace with sofas and a table seating 8.

Style Notes

Modern family. This completely renovated 1950's house has beautiful decor, comfortable family spaces and luxurious touches. You can hear the birds in this quiet neighborhood, yet still walk to the city’s shops and cafés in under half an hour. Bright, light, modern and sophisticated, it has great summery outdoor spaces for relaxing and large bedrooms to suit parents and children. We love the master suite with nook for a crib, the outdoor lounges and the fantastic pot plants.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

This is a nice option in a residential area still very accessible to most of Lisbon. There is a small playground literally out the front door that is a nice addition.
