Perks for the Parents
A spacious and sunny apartment in the Anjos neighborhood with a balcony and flexible bedroom options. It sleeps 6. Parents who need to work can get some peace and quiet in the separate study room while kids play in the lounge. And grown-ups will love the eclectic furnishings and the sunny balcony for a morning espresso. When you’re ready to explore, it’s located close to 2 major metro lines and only a short walk or drive away from all the major tourist attractions.
Why Kids Love it
Teenagers can have their own room for privacy, and there’s fast WiFi throughout for essential devices. Smaller kids like the lounge room which has a smart TV and a floor-centered design with a low table, cozy rug and cushions to sit on. There’s a park and playground 10 minutes away on foot, as well as a public swimming pool (also 10 minutes’ walk). For family-friendly days out, visit the Parque das Nações area (20-30 minutes by train) which has a Science Museum, Aquarium, Zoo and harbor.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 4 nights, depending on the season. There are no stairs inside the apartment, which is located on the 4th floor, reached by wide and well-lit stairs. There is outdoor parking available (public; non-reserved) right outside the apartment but car hire is not essential in this city. There is air conditioning available in the 3 bedrooms, the TV room, and the living room. Each has its own remote control. The hosts have a housekeeper available for additional cleanings during a stay on request.
About the Location
The apartment is located in Anjos, one of the most popular neighborhoods in Lisbon. The area offers a great mixture of residential and tourist homes, also being central without the noise you’d expect from the traditional tourist center. Arroios metro station is just a few minutes’ walk, with bus stops located in many streets nearby (or head to Anjos station, 9 minutes’ walk). It’s 15 minutes by train to the historic center of the city, where you’ll find the Carmo Convent Museum, Commerce Square and Lisbon Cathedral.
Accommodation Details
The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, set over 1 floor. There’s a large open plan kitchen and 2 separate lounge/study rooms, plus a small balcony with partial river view and a city-facing terrace with space for seating. The family bathroom boasts a double sink, walk-in shower and laundry facilities, and there is 1 separate toilet with an additional summer shower (cold). Two of the bedrooms have queensize beds, the third bedroom has a set of single beds. Both queensize beds can be separated into singles on request.
Style Notes
Artistic and antique. The apartment is decorated with a mixture of antiques from Portugal, contemporary design items, prints from independent artists from all over Europe, as well as practical new items for modern family living. We love the historic original floor-to-ceiling window shutters, the walnut wooden furniture pieces and the traditional Portuguese-style tiling in the kitchen.

Lisbon, Portugal
Custard-yellow trams and soulful Fado
The Portuguese capital crowns the country, lording over the land from its seven steep hills speckled with sepia-toned Moorish castles and Baroque palaces, and set against the piercing blue of the Tagus River. Get acquainted with the city on a custard-yellow tram, a cheap-as-chips joy ride for kids of all ages, rattling past all the significant sights; or ride the landmark Eiffel Tower-like Santa Justa street lift, which trundles up to the retail heaven of Chiado.
