Perks for the Parents

This colorful and quirky apartment on the edge of Lisbon’s Campo de Ourique district has a huge playroom for kids and shops close by. It sleeps up to 5 + 1. Parents will enjoy the whimsical kitchen with pot plants and artwork and the comfortable primary bedroom. Relax after a day’s sightseeing on the balcony or find a traditional Portuguese restaurant nearby.

Why Kids Love it

There are plenty of toys and book for children under 10 but the highlight for kids is the huge attic room on the top floor that serves as a bedroom and playroom. There’s a central table for crafts and reading and room to play, jump around, and have as much fun as they like while the adults are downstairs. For outdoor fun, hire a car and explore the stunning beaches and impressive Atlantic waves of Caparica (around 25 mins away).

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights in July; 2 weeks in August. Please note that the apartment is on the 3rd floor without an elevator. Safety notes: The children's bedroom has a steep staircase so is not suitable for kids under 5 and it is ungated. There is a balcony with lots of plants where young children should be supervised. A travel crib for babies is available on request.

About the Location

Located in the west of Lisbon and 8 minutes’ walk to the delightful Estrela Garden (Jardim da Estrela), this is an ideal location for exploring on foot. It is one of Lisbon’s few flat districts, which makes getting around with a stroller or young children easier. Amenities and shops including a bakery, grocer, butcher and pharmacist are close by. Access the main square of Praça do Comércio and central Lisbon by train (approx. 25 minutes).

Accommodation Details

This apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on 2 floors. It is on the 3rd floor of the building. The fully equipped kitchen has a table seating 6 and opens to a covered balcony. There is a small library lounge. Also on this floor is the primary bedroom with a full / double bed and the family bathroom with a shower over tub. Upstairs is the kids’ room with 3 cabin single / twin beds with over 300 sq ft of room to play and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, WC and washbasin.

Old-style charm. This Lisbon apartment is a treasure trove bursting with colors and an abundance of plants. Every corner tells a story, a delightful mix of curated objects collected from travels and eclectic finds blended with vintage furniture. Quirkiness reigns as photographs and potted plants adorn every available surface. We love the bright yellow family bathroom and the playroom, a child's dream come true, complete with custom-made cabin beds nestled within the eaves.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
