Perks for the Parents

In a quiet street in the center of Maillane, this Provencal house with a pool has a beautiful sheltered courtyard and beautiful interiors. Right in the heart of the village with a prized parking space, it is easy to access shops and restaurants with kids in tow. The house comes with a heated pool and air conditioning too. It is a good starting spot to explore the region: Arles is 20 minutes away, Avignon is 15 minutes away and Aix-en-Provence and Marseille are an hour away.

Why Kids Love it

The residence is a 2 minute walk from local playgrounds and has 2 bedrooms especially set up for children with 2 twin beds in each. There is also enough space in the master to add a crib. A crib, high chair, and a baby bathtub can be provided on request as well as toys. The stairs are gated and the house is fully enclosed so children are safe. Maillane has plenty of family-friendly activities from fishing in the lake, pony and horseback riding, pottery workshops, cooking classes and more.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days during low and mid season, 7 nights Saturday-Saturday in July and August. There is flexibility on arrival time - please consult the host when you book. Tourist tax is not included and should be paid directly to the host on arrival (approximately 4EUR per adult per night, depending on location). The house is safe and secured; the pool has an alarm and the house is totally fenced. Note there is a semi open staircase from the lounge - young children may need a hand. The house has air conditioning throughout. There is a parking space (which is very rare in this central heart of the village). Stair gates and all baby equipment can be provided along with a nanny on request. Car rental is highly recommended.

About the Location

The property is in the heart of Maillane village, a few steps from the bakery and grocery store. Mailane is a classic Provencal village 10 minutes by car from Saint Rémy de Provence and 25 minutes from Les Baux de Provence. It’s a beautiful area with plenty of villages and attractions to reach in a 20-minute drive from the base. To reach the house, the best is to fly to Marseille and then drive 50 minutes to the house or to take the TGV in Paris and stop at Avignon TGV station, a 15-minute drive away.

Accommodation Details

This 4-bedroom, 3-bedroom home sleeps up to 9 people plus 2 babies. On the ground floor, there is a living room with fireplace and TV lounge, a dining room with a table seating 8-10, a bathroom and a laundry room, as well as a well-equipped kitchen. A stone staircase leads upstairs to the 4 bedrooms of the house. One bedroom has a queensize bed, another has a double bed, and 2 bedrooms are set up with 2 twin beds. Bathrooms include showers and bathtubs.

Modern Provence. Renovated 2 years ago, this beautiful and bright home respects the traditional Provencal style and has luxuries and comforts to make a family feel at home. Bedding is new and comfortable, while bathrooms are modern and sleek and bedrooms are soothing and uncluttered. The kitchen is wide enough to arrange cooking classes. We love the pool and outdoor space, the exposed brick walls and the classic French country house feel.

Custom payment policy: 30% of the total cost of the stay is paid on booking acceptance if the check in date is more than 60 days away. If the check in date is 60 days or less, 100% of the total cost of the stay is to be paid on booking acceptance.

Up to 60 days prior to arrival, 30% of the total amount is non-refundable. Between 60 days and date of arrival, if the client cancels, full payment is still required.

Picture-perfect Provence

This picture-perfect Provencal town, 10 minutes drive from Saint Remy de Provence, has streets of pretty stone houses, old doors and narrow lanes, and is in a great location for exploring the area. Avignon, Nimes and the Camargue are all an easy drive away, while Les Baux de Provence and its castle is just a 25-minute drive away and sure to captivate children's imagination.
