Ideal for one large family or 2 groups, the residence is divided into a main house and a separate annexe with a queensize bed, bathroom and own kitchen/living room for ultimate peace and privacy. Guests can be as active or relaxed as they choose with a boules court or a pool with plenty of sun loungers, and air-conditioned bedrooms for chilled days at home. There’s a BBQ area for sociable alfresco dining and the host can help arrange for an in-house chef on request. Nearby Saint-Rémy is effortlessly chic with trendy restaurants, cafes, boutiques and art galleries to peruse. For more active days there are plenty of hiking and biking trails to explore straight from the doorstep.

Why Kids Love it

The residence is well kitted out for kids with plenty of space to explore and play. The children's bedroom is spacious and fun, doubling as a playroom with bright, interior decoration and full air-conditioning for comfort. Toys and books are provided, and older kids in particular might appreciate having a play/games room to themselves with comfortable sofas, board games and a TV with Netflix the latest movies. Outside, there’s lawn space for ball games, a swing, children’s bikes and a pétanque pitch for those keen to try out some local sport. Kids of all ages will love having their own pool to splash about in; it’s alarmed for the additional safety of non-swimmers. There are playgrounds a short walk away in the local town, as well as ice cream shops, boulangeries and chocolatiers. Two cribs, a highchair, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request.

Things to Know

Minimum stay is 3 nights in low season and 5 nights in mid season (May, June, September, October) and 7 nights in high season. The house is safe and secured with an electric gate, and the 10 x 6m pool is protected by an alarm. Stair gates and window guards are provided for additional safety, as is a fireplace guard for winter stays. All bedrooms have air conditioning. There is WiFi throughout the property. Guests are welcome to use the barbecue for outdoor dining. There is parking on site for up to 4 cars; car hire is recommended to explore the wider area. Pets are welcome; please let the hosts know at the time of booking. French tourist tax to be paid directly to the host at check in (per adult only and per night).

About the Location

The residence is located in charming Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the foothills of the Alpilles mountains. It is an excellent location for biking and walking with many trails close by. St-Rémy is a historic market town of Roman origins south of Avignon and an hour north of Marseilles. Other major towns close by include Arles, Nîmes and Aix-en-Provence. There are many small and attractive villages in the area including Eygalières and the historic fortress town of Les Baux. The nearest beach is in Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, capital of the Camargue, 1 hour away by car while the pretty coastal areas of Bandol and Cassis are a 1.5 hour drive. The closest international airport is Marseilles, about a 50-minute drive; Avignon is a 35-minute drive away with a train station serving TGV trains from Paris.

Accommodation Details

The residence has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms over 2 floors and consists of a main house and a separate annexe. The main house has a spacious living room with fireplace, comfortable sofas, and a large TV screen with Netflix. There is an additional TV and games room for kids with sofas, a variety of board games and a DVD library. The is kitchen is fully equipped including a coffee maker and a dishwasher, and incorporates a dining table seating 8 with doors that open out to the terrace and the pool area. There is also a utility room with a washer/dryer. There are 3 bedrooms with queensize beds in the main house and one kids dorm room with 5 single beds. In the apartment there is a queensize bed in the bedroom, a shower room, and a kitchen/living room with its own terrace. Outside is a 10 x 6m pool with an alarm system, sun loungers and sun terrace with sofa set and pergola. There is also a pétanque pitch, a BBQ area and large lawns.

French countryside chic. A contemporary residence that combines modern comfort with rustic beauty. Warm stone exteriors and elegant green shutters set an elegant, pastoral scene, with the pretty Mediterranean gardens, pool and sun terrace providing the perfect backdrop. Inside, wooden floors and neutrals are uplifted by pops of bright color via feature walls and furnishings, as well as some bold geometric tiling in the bathrooms. The kids room is particularly vibrant and playful with pretty, green walls, bunting and toy shelves. We love the gorgeous pool, perfectly screened by lush greenery and large enough for water games and laps.

Payment policy
30% of the total cost of the stay is paid on booking acceptance if the check in date is more than 60 days away with the balance payment being charged at 60 days before check in. If the check in date is 60 days or less, 100% of the total cost of the stay is to be paid on booking acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Up to 60 days prior to arrival, 30% of the total amount is non-refundable. Between 60 days and date of arrival, if the client cancels, full payment is still required. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 15% of the booking total.
