They offer a full daily activity program for the whole family to enjoy, from watersports and tennis to beauty treatments in the spa. Laze the day away in your 11m (36ft) beachside infinity-edge pool, or admire the light sparkling on the waves from the glass-fronted balconies. Feast upon delicious meals cooked on request in your kitchen or BBQ terrace (private chefs are available on request and room service is on hand 24 hours a day) or alternatively visit one of the resort’s 7 restaurants for world-class dining.
Why Kids Love it
Amilla is perfect for children of all ages with toys, games and fun for all. The Sultans Village kids club (for age 4 and above) offers a playground as well as activities out and about the resort such as gardening, visiting our farm to see the chickens and ducks. Also on offer is a Mini Marine Biology Program and all kids amenities, from strollers and cribs to changing tables, as well as babysitting and nanny services on request. For older kids and teens, there’s a full open air games room on the upper floor with table tennis, plus a teens program with activities like DJ lessons, and the TV is equipped with a PS2 console. There’s even complimentary football training for children 6 days per week on the property’s full size football pitch!
Things to Know
Rates for 4 guests (2 adults, 2 children) range from $1150 to $30,000 per night – plus 23.3% taxes and service depending on season and accommodation type. Rates are per villa per night, quoted in US dollars. A Green Tax of USD 6 per person per night, regardless of age, will apply for all bookings. Rates include daily breakfast (for up to 2 guests in all one-bedroom villas and for up to 4 guests in all two-bedroom villas etc.). Infants 0-1.99 years old stay on complimentary bed and breakfast basis or same meal plan booked by parents, subject to Green Tax of USD $ 6 per child per day. There are additional charges plus tax of $100 for children 2-11.99 years old and $200 for children 12 and older. Safety notes: Amilla offers the use of safety turtle alarm devices for peace of mind around water. Choose from a range of villas or the larger residences - either 4-bedroom, 6-bedroom or 8-bedroom. Each of the residences comes with a private butler and buggy to chauffeur you in (not applicable to villa bookings). Bicycles are available to borrow, with sizes for little ones to adults. There is a full spa with a sauna, massage, beauty treatments, indoor and outdoor gyms, yoga, meditation and tennis. The surrounding waters offer swimming, snorkeling, diving and watersports. Car rental is not necessary as all areas of the resort are accessible on foot.
About the Location
The Maldives offers an underwater playground like no other. The resort is located in the UNESCO biosphere of Baa Atoll. It’s just 10 minutes from Hanifaru Bay, one of the top 10 snorkel sites in the world. From May to October, huge conglomerations of Manta Ray can be seen on snorkeling excursions: these gentle giants of the sea are a spectacle for the whole family. Amilla also offers a variety of other excursions including cultural visits to 2 nearby islands. To access the resort you can arrive by seaplane or domestic flight from Velana International Airport.
Accommodation Details
Reef villa: a kingsize bed, 4m freshwater pool, ceramic bathtub and direct reef access. It sleeps 2 adults + 2 kids (or 3 adults). Sunset villa: a kingsize bed, private pool and direct lagoon access. It sleeps 2 adults + 2 kids (or 3 adults). Lagoon villa: choose from 1-bedroom (sleeps 2 + 2 or 3 adults) or 2-bedroom (sleeps 4 + 2 or 2 + 4), with ocean vistas on one side and the lagoon on the other. Treetop villa: choose from 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom, with a private pool. Glide through a glass-walled pool suspended over the treetops and soak up panoramic island views from the deck. The beach for Treetop villa guests is just 20m away via the secret pathway. Sleeps 2 adults + 2 kids (or 3 adults). Beach villa: choose from 1-bedroom (sleeps 2 + 2 or 3 adults) or 2-bedroom villas (4 + 2, or 2 + 4 in 3 single beds plus 1 kingsize bed). These villas have private pools, enormous bathrooms and gardens, plus fast access to the ocean. 4-bedroom Residence: A private residence with a fully-equipped kitchen, living areas, 2 kingsize suites and 2 twin rooms. The primary bedroom boasts a private balcony, statement bathtub and an outdoor shower courtyard. Two upper level guest suites overlook the gardens (1 kingsize, 1 twin) with access to individual balconies and ensuite bathrooms with bathtubs. The garden level guest suite (2 twin beds) also has an ensuite bathroom with rain shower. Sleeps 8. 6-bedroom Residence: The ultimate private retreat, with a rooftop bar, cinema room, private spa and 20m private pool. Almost every space has glorious sea or ocean views. The primary suite has ocean views from the kingsize bed, a private balcony, ensuite bathroom with steam/sauna and oversized bathtub. The 4 guest suites (3 kingsize, 1 twin) boast ocean views, with balconies in 3 suites containing statement bathtubs. The garden level suite (with a kingsize bed)is located next to the courtyard garden, with a private deck and separate bathroom. It sleeps 14. 8-bedroom Residence: Perfect for large families or groups, this beachfront villa has multiple lounging areas, balconies, 2 private 11m pools and open-sided decks. Two elegant primary suites offer panoramic ocean views, balconies, statement bathtubs, shower courtyard and kingsize beds. The 4 upper level guest suites overlook the gardens (2 kingsize, 2 twin rooms), all with individual balconies and statement bathtubs. The 2 garden level suites each have 2 twin beds and ensuite bathrooms with rain showers. It sleeps 16-20.
Style Notes
Paradise found. The spacious residences offer a light airy feel with plenty of warm wood surfaces. The outdoor spaces are a blend of sand and lush tropical foliages, creating a beautiful backdrop for the neutral interiors. The bedrooms offer crisp white linen, super comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe space and ensuite bathrooms equipped with luxurious bathtubs and showers. Selected rooms come with thoughtful touches such as outdoor rain showers, spacious outdoor decks, Bose surround sound systems, Nespresso coffee machines, yoga mats and organic amenities by Lemon Grass.
