For those seeking a challenge, Pollensa’s Cavalri steps will reward climbers with beautiful views and plenty of places to stop for ice cream or cold drinks on the way. Water babies are well-catered for with the golden beaches and clear, shallow waters of the Port de Pollensa coastline less than a 15 minute drive. Active kids can make the most of the watersports on offer including kayaking, paddleboarding and boat excursions.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 7 nights. A light midweek clean is included. Please note there is an ungated pool and floating staircase which younger children should be supervised around. A pool fence can be requested in advance at a supplement of £300 per week. The service is subject to availability and must be booked in the UK prior to departure. Bath and pool towels are included in the rental. There is no bath tub at the property but there are 3 shower rooms as well as an outdoor shower. There is air conditioning/heating and WiFi throughout the property. A washing machine, ironing facilities, safe and barbecue are included. Car hire, child seats and booster seats are available for an additional charge on request. The host’s concierge team offer a complimentary family pack which includes a cot/travel cot, bed guard, highchair, baby-gate, bottle steriliser, baby bath, non-slip bath mat and potty. Nappies and baby wipes can also be ordered in advance. The concierge can additionally help arrange a private nanny service offering babysitting and full or half-day childcare packages, private catering, and airport transfers upon request.
About the Location
The villa is located just 5 minutes’ drive from the charming mountain town of Pollensa, with its historic hill-top monastery and Roman heritage. It also has many stylish cafes, shops, upmarket restaurants, and museums – as well as a famous market held every Sunday providing a local taste of Mallorca. Port de Pollensa, just 15 minutes by car, has a welcoming laid-back atmosphere with restaurants, bars and many fine sandy beaches in its vicinity. Its main beach is long and spacious with clear shallow waters ideal for paddlers. The cap de Formentor lighthouse is at the northernmost tip of Mallorca, a beautiful 35 minute drive along the wild peninsula with plenty of swim spots and viewpoints enroute. Pollensa Golf Course is just 12 minutes away while the Eu Moll tennis club is 10 minutes. Palma, Mallorca's capital is just over 50 minutes' drive away. The Palma to Sóller vintage wooden train, popular with kids and adults alike, can be caught from the Ferrocarril station there. Mallorca airport is 55 minutes away.
Accommodation Details
This property has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms set over 2 floors. On the ground floor is an airy, open plan living area with comfy sofas, satellite TV and terrace access. Across the other side of the room is an open archway leading to the inside dining area with seating for 6 and a terrace access. Adjoining is a fully-equipped kitchen area with dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and breakfast bar. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and iron. Up a small set of stairs beyond is a twin bedroom with 2 singlesize beds and a separate shower room. The first floor is accessed by a feature floating staircase from the living area. Here guests can find the primary bedroom with doublesize bed and ensuite shower and a twin room with 2 singlesize beds and ensuite shower. Outside are the landscaped Mediterranean gardens with shaded outdoor terrace with dining table and sofa set, brick barbecue, 9.4m x 3.6m pool, outdoor shower and sun loungers.
