This elegant, rustic villa has been stylishly designed both inside and out, with unique pieces of art and furniture reflecting its beautiful natural setting amongst acres of Mediterranean gardens sweeping towards the distant bay of Alcudia and the Tramontana Mountains. It sleeps 10. Parents can unwind in luxury with plenty of space for all the family and lots on offer to keep everyone entertained with a private outdoor pool and sundeck, ping pong and pool tables, smart chill out areas inside and out, alfresco dining and a tennis court shared with the neighboring villa. There is a path which connects the 2 villas, an ideal arrangement for 2 families or larger groups wanting to travel together but enjoy some additional space. The villa's primary bedroom is located downstairs, away from the other sleeping quarters and has its own direct patio access, perfect for catching a quiet moment. Every bedroom has its own ensuite so guests can benefit from additional privacy. For those wanting to explore the local areas, the villa is located between the pretty towns of Moscari and Selva which have restaurants, bars and shops as well as a weekly market.
Why Kids Love it
Kids have the run of nearly 50 acres of natural space, though there is plenty to keep them occupied in the villa’s immediate vicinity. The private outdoor pool is always popular, offering the perfect place to cool off on warmer days, while the covered terrace with alfresco dining is a great spot for a post-swim barbecue. There is an outdoor ping pong table as well as access to a shared tennis court for those into racket sports. For hotter days and winter months, the indoor games room will prove a hit with a billiard table and big screen HDTV and DVD for downtime entertainment or laid-back movie nights. For active kids, there are plenty of cycling routes close to the villa with bike hire available nearby – perfect for exploring the local Sa Pobla area where there is also a museum of games and toys. The nearest beaches are about 30 minutes away, offering lots of watersports, including kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and boat hire. The Playa de Muro beach in Alcudia has a fun wooden maze which will challenge all the family. A pack and play travel crib is available on request.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 7 nights, other durations on request. There is a €1,200 security deposit charged to guest’s credit card before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection. Please note that guests will be charged up to €100 for not disposing of rubbish on departure. The Balearic Eco tourist tax is included in the rental. Please note that there is a working fireplace and the pool is ungated so younger children should be supervised around these areas. Pool towels are not provided so guests may wish to bring their own. There are no bath tubs at the property but all bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms. There is air conditioning and WiFi throughout the property. There is underfloor heating for cooler months. There is a laundry room with washing machine, dryer and iron/ironing board. There is also a barbecue on site. Car hire is recommended due to the villa’s rural location; there is plenty of private parking on-site. Calendars may not be up to date, so please speak to the host’s concierge team who can advise you on availability. The host’s concierge team can help arrange a pre-arrival fridge stock, in-house chefs/catering, babysitting/childcare services, airport transfers upon request.
About the Location
The villa is located in peaceful, rural countryside between the picturesque towns of Selva and Moscari, about a 6 minute drive away – a good introduction to local life. The pretty town of Sa Pobla is about 15 minutes’ drive and is well worth a visit with traditional Mallorcan crafts, family run restaurants and a beautiful old quarter to explore. It is partly on the Albufera nature reserve (Parc natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca), a protected wetland area which is good for bird watching and hiking. The nearest beaches are Playa de Muro in Alcudia and Can Picafort both 30 minutes’ drive, with sandy shores and clear, shallow waters ideal for play and paddling. The club de golf Alcanada is a 30 minute drive. Palma, Mallorca’s capital is a 40 minute car journey. Guests can hop on the Palma to Sóller vintage wooden train from the Ferrocarril station in Palma – a popular ride with adults and kids alike. Palma de Mallorca airport is 38 minutes’ away by car.
Accommodation Details
This property has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms set over 2 floors. The villa’s entrance is on the ground floor leading into a spacious hallway, set up with a billiards area and snug/games room towards one end. The main modernist style living area is on this floor, with large sofas, satellite TV, working fireplace, small dining table, book shelves and direct access to the patio. There is also an open plan style dining room with seating for 8 which also opens up to the patio area allowing for easy inside/outside living. The kitchen is fully-equipped with coffee maker, microwave and all the mod cons guests would expect. There is a useful laundry room with a washing machine and dryer as well as a guest toilet. The primary bedroom can also be found on the ground floor with doublesize bed, walk-in wardrobe, shower room and access to the patio with table and chairs. Upstairs guests will find another open living area with smart and Apple TV as well as 4 bedrooms: 1 with doublesize bed and ensuite shower; 1 with 2 singlesize beds and ensuite shower; and 2 bedrooms with 2 singlesize beds, ensuite showers and access to a terrace. The exterior grounds include over 30 hectares of gardens, a 10m x 4.5m outdoor swimming pool, a shared tennis court, chill out seating, and covered terrace with dining area and barbecue.
