Perks for the Parents

This architect-designed Silver Lake home, surrounded by nature, is the ideal family getaway spot in the mountains, with floor-to-ceiling views of the woods and valleys from the bathtub. It is in Maple Falls, Washington. Along with stunning interiors (as pictured) there are landscaped stairs leading down the embankment to an attached dock and swim ladder. The dock is great for fishing and swimming. Fantastic for outdoorsy families. Every room has a view of Silver Lake.

Why Kids Love it

Nightly baths have never been this much fun - toddlers can have playtime in the evening in master bathroom tub with a lake view. There is plenty of water-based fun for older kids too: including fishing and swimming from the dock and a hot tub. The open floor plan provides a space that is welcoming and relaxing, and allows everyone to gather in the same space with ease. Nearby attractions include Silver Lake Park, which has a kid-friendly bike trail, playground, museum, horseshoes and boat, canoe and paddleboard rentals.

Things to Know

The home is in a rural area with an unimproved road that is not maintained by the county - in winter, guests are strongly advised to prepare accordingly by utilizing 4-wheel/all-wheel drive vehicles. No guarantees are expressed nor implied regarding road conditions, and refunds are not provided for circumstances that are beyond our control. This is our favorite rental property by far. The home and surrounding environment could not be more beautiful and we had everything we needed for traveling with a preschooler. We will be back!
