Perks for the Parents

Luxurious serviced apartments in Green Park, London with spacious rooms, 5-star hotel services and a children’s concierge. Rooms sleep up to 4 + 1. Despite its central location, the residences offer a home-from-home feel, where you can relax with the family and have a little more space than you’d find in a standard hotel suite. Kid & Coe guests at the residences have access to the hotel’s executive lounge with an honesty bar on the 10th floor, and all the room rates include early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability) as well as a welcome gift, free WiFi and free parking. Take advantage of the ready-made picnics (ask the hotel team for an al fresco lunch, afternoon tea or dinner to take to the nearby parks), treat yourself to a luxurious Temple Spa treatment or a dip in the plunge pool at the hotel spa, or book additional apartments and rooms for multi-generational trips - this is a truly hassle-free family vacation in one of the most desirable London locations.

Why Kids Love it

This place is fully geared up for kids - there’s even a kids concierge team who can help with booking child-friendly restaurants, babysitting services, theater tickets and suggestions for family days out, whether you’re looking for the nearest playgrounds (St James’s Park is a fantastic space for kids) or kite-flying sessions in Green Park! The team on site can help with adding DVDs, toys and board games to the room, or bringing milk and cookies to help little ones feel welcome. There’s even scooters and bikes for kids to borrow during their stay if they want a ride around the park. Further afield, it’s less than half an hour to the vibrant Southbank, where you’ll find street performers and free outdoor events, as well as family attractions such as the SeaLife center, the London Eye and the Tate Modern. Don’t miss a ride on the Uber riverboat for a fun (and easy) way to travel up and down the river from Westminster Pier.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 1 night. The Residences are part of the sister hotel, The Athenaeum, which also offers interconnecting suites for families and 5-star amenities for residence guests, including a spa and gym with a Peloton bike. Gym, spa and pool access may need to be booked in advance. When booking interconnecting rooms, the second room is charged at 25% less than the standard room rate. Rates include complimentary tea, coffee and daily WiFi, and residence guests can use the hotel's lounge - ideal for working or for relaxing with the family. Cribs or extra beds can be added to some room types but the Residences are the most appropriate for families. Babysitting or nanny services can be arranged on request. The hotel can also offer private or public work spaces for an additional fee. Dogs are welcome for £40 per stay, which includes a dog ‘package’ of special beds, bowls and snacks. Guests with pets can also request dog sitting/walking/grooming services.

About the Location

The residences are located in Mayfair, in the heart of London. Overlooking glorious Green Park, it’s walking distance to Hyde Park (kids will love the Princess Diana Memorial Playground), St James’s Park, Buckingham Palace, Regent Street shopping district (where you’ll also find Hamley's), Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. The concierge can provide jogging routes for you to try in the nearby parks. There are plenty of world-famous restaurants nearby (Hakkasan, Sexy Fish and Annabel’s are just around the corner) and the hotel has its own restaurant, terrace and bar - the perfect place to try London’s famous afternoon tea. The museums in South Kensington are around 20 minutes by subway - the nearest subway stations are Green Park or Hyde Park Corner, or Victoria and Charing Cross Stations for overground train services. Heathrow airport is around 45 minutes - 1 hour by train or car.

Style Notes

London’s finest. The apartments are set within traditional red-brick townhouses, typical in this part of the city, and adorned with beautiful window boxes full of flowers. These historic buildings maintain their architectural character - think high ceilings, original fireplaces and grand bay windows - but have been updated with sleek contemporary interiors. Muted earthy tones are complemented by modern furniture and subtle artwork, creating a calm, elegant space. California kingsize beds are topped with Hypnos mattresses and pillow menus while kitchenettes are finished with Nespresso machines. We love the authentic ceiling cornicing, the spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows and the traditionally-dressed doorman who greets the incoming guests as you enter the main hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. We are a family of five, and they had both bunk beds and a travel single bed set up for the kids. It was tight, but we fit and they were very accommodating on every request . There were toys and books laid out for the kids and we really enjoyed the quiet private entrance to our room. If I. had to make one grumble it would be that there was only one bathroom for a two room townhouse. The location is stellar - very central and very close to the parks. The little kitchenette is super useful ; we were able to do a Deliveroo and stock up the fridge. The breakfast included was delicious - again the staff were so kind and helpful with the kids. All in all, a really lovely stay and hotel powered by lovely people!

Mayfair, London

Designer stores and stellar dining

Right in the heart of London, Mayfair is known for its streets lined with designer stores like Selfridges and Liberty, its upmarket restaurants and its fabulous parks. Stroll to Kensington Gardens and play in the Princess Diana Memorial Playground; rent boats and splash in the Serpentine in Hyde Park, and spoil very well behaved kids with a trip to London's biggest toy store, Hamleys.
