Why Kids Love it

The townhouse is in a prime location with many kid related activities within walking distance including adventures and playgrounds in Central Park, skating at Rockefeller Center, the Intrepid Air and Space Museum, the American Girl store, holiday windows along 5th Avenue, and the American Museum of Natural History is a short subway or taxi ride away. Kids toys and games and books are provided for downtime entertainment and there is plenty of space to stretch out and play games of hide and seek. There are two smart TVs, one in each living room for evening movie watching.

Things to Know

*There is a 6.9% occupancy tax collected by the host directly for all bookings.* Minimum stay: 30 nights, inquire with host as minimum will depend on availability. Bookings on Wednesday-Saturday nights generally require five night stays. There are un-gated stairs you will need to take into consideration as the townhouse is on multiple levels without an elevator. All townhouse bookings include a private concierge to assist with all extra needs including grocery delivery etc. This property can also be split into two apartments rented individually (The West 51st Street Residence No 1 and The The West 51st Street Residence No 2). The home is non-smoking and pets are not permitted. Two Pack N Plays, two high chairs and toys and books are provided for young kids. Two additional queen size air mattresses with linens for up to four maximum people can be provided for a one time charge of $150 per air mattress.

About the Location

You could not ask for a better location when visiting NYC. The townhouse is a quick walk from every subway line in Manhattan, not to mention steps from the shops of Fifth Avenue, Times Square, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. Any convenience you will need during your stay is at your fingertips. The closest airport is LaGuardia, approximately 35 minutes away by taxi.

Accommodation Details

This 4000 square foot townhouse with private garden/patio is perfect for families traveling together. It is the W51st Street Residences 1 and Residence 2 combined into one 8 bedroom, 4 bathroom private townhouse in the middle of Manhattan. The lower level apartment is set over 2 levels. The entry level has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room with table seating 8 and living room. The second level has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. All bedrooms have a queensize beds and the 2 bathrooms include a bath and shower. There is a private outdoor deck with seating/dining area from the lower level. The upper level apartment is also set over 2 levels, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; all bedrooms have a queensize bed while bathrooms have a tub and shower. There is an open plan living/kitchen/dining area with plenty of seating and a wall-mounted TV. The separate dining area has a table to seat 8 while the open format kitchen has an island with counter seating. The laundry area has a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and drying racks.

Style Notes

Modern city with history. The building is a beautiful turn of the century townhouse that was completely renovated and modernized in 2013. The townhouse is a mix of old world charm and new contemporary flair, complemented by high ceilings, oversized windows, marble fire mantels and brick walls. Each bedroom has brand new linens including down comforters with 100% high thread count cotton duvet covers. We love the stellar location, the open brick walls and the original fireplaces for a dash of historic character in the bedrooms, and the comfort and space ideal for a large family stay.

Cancellation policy
The rental charges are fully refundable minus a $1,000.00 administrative fee for cancellations up to 90 days prior to the beginning of the rental period. Cancellations made between 90 days and up to 30 days prior to arrival will forfeit the entire deposit, equal to 50% of the rental amount. Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival will forfeit total rental amount paid. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 15% of the booking total.
Terms and conditions

Born and raised in New York City, Lisa has spent the better part of the last twenty five years in the travel industry, managing the travel needs of demanding New York City corporations and luxury vacationers.
