Perks for the Parents

A stylish Milan apartment in the Navigli district, with beautiful interiors and a spacious terrace. It sleeps 6. This is a great spot to explore this fashionable city, with an easy 15-minute walk into the center of the city (for the Duomo and the Royal Palace) as well as parks and green spaces nearby for the kids.

Why Kids Love it

While there are no toys or books for little ones here, you’ll be well placed to explore the child-friendly sights of the city. You can walk around the corner to the Da Vinci Science Museum (10 minutes) and there’s a park and playground at the end of the street (5 minutes’ walk). There’s also a popular gelateria and crepe store, right next to the Parco Giovanni Paolo (less than 10 minutes’ walk).

Things to Know

Premium amenities include free WiFi, cable TV, hotel beds and linens, luxury toiletries, and a Nespresso machine. No smoking, pets or parties. The local law requires every guest to present an ID card/passport upon their arrival to the apartment. Deposit fees will be collected on-site. City tax applied according to the municipality laws and will vary based on number of guests and nights. A damage deposit will be collected by credit card. The deposit will be fully reimbursed a few days after check-out subject to an inspection of the property.

About the Location

The apartment is located in the artsy Navigli neighborhood. Medieval churches and city parks are all around, not to mention the city’s prettiest sunsets. Check out the Roman ruins of the Archeological Park (5 minutes’ walk) or the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology (7 minutes away). Shop at the many antique shops, record stores and flea markets, then stop at one of the area’s many aperitivo bars for a classic Italian refresher. A bus stop and a light rail station are right outside. The airport is around 20 minutes by car or 40 minutes by train.

Accommodation Details

The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It’s located on the 2nd floor and there is an elevator. You’ll find an open plan living/dining room, with a separate kitchen. Best of all - the French doors in the living room lead out to a spacious outdoor terrace. One of the bedrooms has a bathtub, the other has a walk-in shower.

Style Notes

Inspired by the historic building, the host has created a vintage vibe with subtle art deco detailing. Pinks, blues and gold make the space feel relaxing, calm and elegant. We love the colorful picture rail paint design in the living area, the contemporary bedroom headboards and the beautiful parquet flooring.

Milan, Italy

Fashion, design, finance and fun

Milan is Italy’s center of fashion, design and finance, but that doesn’t mean it has limited kid-appeal. Along with gardens with carnival rides and local playgrounds to explore, there are dinosaur skeletons at the city’s natural history museum and towering replicas, plus a zoo, at the Prehistoric Park on the edge of the city. Medieval castle Castello Sforzesco is a great stop for fairytale fans, and kids will find the city’s gelateria irresistible. Seeking out a favorite flavor and the best ice creamery in town is as good a mission as any in the fashion capital.
