About the Location

This is a prime location in between Mill Valley and Tam Junction in California. It’s only 20 minutes’ drive to San Francisco city, with picturesque Sausalito on route (a great area for a relaxed bike ride - hire bikes in Tam Junction and it’s a half-hour cycle) and an approach over the Golden Gate Bridge viewing points. You can walk to coffee shops, grocery stores and bars in Tam Junction (15 minutes away) or meander the charming town of Mill Valley with shops, restaurants, and town plaza (10 min drive). Head out into the trailheads at Tennessee Valley (under 10 minutes’ drive), climb to the top of Mt. Tamalpais from the panoramic highway (15 min drive), or explore the towering redwood trees of Muir Woods (10 min drive). There are gorgeous playgrounds to visit all over Marin and it’s 15 minutes’ drive to Muir Beach on the west coast.

Style Notes

Mid-century modern. This beautiful home was built in the 1960's and renovated in 2010 to reflect contemporary family living. The home features comfortable furnishings with bright and colorful artistic design. The home centers around a gorgeous sweeping view of the bay, reminding you of the glorious outdoor scenes in this area. We love the sleek all-white kitchen with stainless steel appliances, the beach-inspired rattan textures (like that stunning boho kingsize bed) and the cute kids room wallpaper.

Originally from the south, we moved to the Bay Area in 2017 for work and to Marin in 2021 to raise our family because we love this slice of heaven on earth. As a family we love to play at the beach, hike on the trails and play soccer in the backyard. We love that we can access so much adventure right out our door and be surrounded by the beauty of the Bay right inside our home.

Mill Valley, Marin County

At the base of Mount Tam

Voted as one of the top 10 small towns in America to live in, Mill Valley, four miles north of San Francisco, has everything to offer a family, from superb kid-friendly beaches within a five-minute drive to hikes around Mount Tamalpais, family-friendly restaurants and cafés, and a lovely downtown with parks, playgrounds and interesting independent stores. Don’t miss migrating the Californian grey whales just off the coast from December to May each year.
