Perks for the Parents

A stunning modern chalet in Whitefish, Montana, with spectacular contemporary interiors, awe-inspiring views and ski-in access. It sleeps 14+1. This home has been designed with families in mind. Parents will adore the primary suite, which has beautiful views from the kingsize bed, a large soaking tub, and a private deck to escape to after the kids’ bedtime. The additional guest rooms on the lower level work well for grandparents, a nanny or an au pair. You’ll find 2 outdoor spaces to lounge around, with a dining area and grill on the upstairs balcony, and the hot tub on the lower level, as well as 1.4 acres of forest to explore.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys and books for children under 10 and is a great family space. They’ll love the bunk room, which is ideal for sharing with siblings, cousins or friends. A crib, Stokke high chair, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request. In winter, there’s a daycare center in Whitefish Mountain (ages 6 months to 6 years) and a ski school for kids (aged 3-6), plus an ice skating rink nearby. In summer, the area has an aerial adventure park, fly-fishing trips, river rafting, horseback riding adventures, alpine slides and heaps of hiking trails.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 4 nights. Safety notes: the hosts recommend that kids under 8 are supervised in and around the loft area. A set of strong ladder stairs provides sturdy access to this upper floor. There are 2 sets of stairs in the house so young children may need additional supervision around the house, but stair gates can be provided upon request. Parking is available onsite and car rental is recommended, although not essential.

About the Location

The house is located right on Whitefish Mountain Resort, with direct ski access from the door. It’s situated below Chair 3 terminus for access to the mountain slopes. A ski way and bike trains traverse the neighborhood for access to the village area - the property is elevated above the village providing incredible views of the valley. Whitefish (15 minutes’ drive) has a city beach, golf club, eateries, art galleries and heaps of hiking trails around the Lake. It’s 15 minutes’ from Whitefish Depot amtrak station and 30 minutes from Glacier international airport (FCA).

Accommodation Details

The residence has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, set over 2 floors with an additional loft. On the main level, there’s a large open floor plan with beautiful views of the mountains and lakes as far as 40 miles away. The professional fully-stocked kitchen boasts a Thermidor gas range and refrigerator, leading to a dining table and a great room with RH Modern leather furniture, gas fireplace and LED TV. The loft mezzanine floor looks out over the great room, with a standing desk, yoga mat and modular seating. The primary bedroom (with a kingsize bed) is on the main level, while the bunk room with 4 double beds (2 bunks) is on the lower level. There are also 2 additional guest rooms with queensize beds on the lower level. Custom designed bathrooms have walk-in tile showers, and there are heated floors and standalone soaking bathtubs in the primary bathroom and bunk room bathrooms.

Style Notes

Custom chalet. This contemporary home feels bright and sophisticated, with lots of natural light due to the large modern windows. Each bedroom brings the outdoors in, with oversized windows framing incredible views and automated roller shades for a good night’s sleep. The decor is subtle to accent the exterior scenes - think natural textures, monochrome colors and minimalist furniture. We love the stunning kitchen island, with its custom storage areas and laid-back stool seating, as well as the sleek new bathrooms and the Scandi-inspired kitchen shelving.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
