This family-friendly beach house is close to Ditch Plains, Lake Montauk and Montauk Downs golf course and includes a kids reading nook, wrap-around deck with outdoor kitchen and plenty of space for kids to play and run about. The open plan living space includes a kitchen, dining area, living and bar area, with a large kitchen island seating 4. Along with 2 master suites, there are 2 further bedrooms and a living room with a pull-out sofa bed. Montauk's town and beaches are just a short drive away.

Why Kids Love it

The house is set on approximately 0.5 acres with plenty of space to kids to run around and play. The junior primary suite has an adorable reading nook for children. The house is close to many activities for children: the beach, Lake Montauk, horseback riding, parks, and more. Kids may also enjoy fishing, surfing, sailing and boat trips around the area. Outdoor showers are a bonus to clean off the sand after a day at the lake beach or beside the sea.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. There is a driveway with parking. Additional amenities include a Peloton bike, gas bbq grill, smoker grill, outdoor fire pit, outdoor TV, 3 outdoor showers, hammocks, and outdoor lounge furniture. Multiple beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas surf boards and stand up paddle boards available. No smoking and no pets allowed.

About the Location

The house is on a private road and is very secluded, being surrounded by natural preservatory land. It is very close to Lake Montauk, Montauk Downs Golf Course and Ditch Plains beach. The Crows Nest is also nearby and it is a short drive to town and many other restaurants. Car rental highly recommended for this area. You can reach Montauk by Jitney or train - the train and Jitney stop are both 5 minutes away. New York City is approximately a 3-hour drive away.

Accommodation Details

The ranch-style home comprises 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with air conditioning all on one floor. The primary bedroom has a kingsize bed, walk-in closet and private bath along with access to the deck and two private outdoor showers. The junior suite has a kingsize bed, private bath, outdoor shower and reading nook for children. The third bedroom has a queen bed with a desk. The fourth bedroom has a crib, changing table and rocking chair. There is a main open plan living space with kitchen with a large island with seating for 4, a dining area (with seating up to 8), and a living room with fireplace and queen pull out sofa bed. The impressive outdoor space has a wrap-around deck and three outdoor showers. The deck features an outdoor kitchen area complete with wine fridge and beer tap. In addition, there is a large 6 burner island grill, a Traeger grill and outdoor TV. The house is located on a private road and is very secluded as it is surrounded by natural protected land.

Style Notes

Chic beach house. This modern house has recently been renovated and is bright and clean with bohemian accents. The open floor plan makes it an easy place to relax with kids and/or another family. Bathrooms are sleek with mirrors, clean lines and walk-in showers; bedrooms have nautical stripes and beach scenes on the wall. We love the outdoor dining area with beer on tap, the cute and colorful kids reading nook and the great location close to Lake Montauk and the area's beaches for swimming and family days out.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
